took my kayak to Town Lake for the 4th of July, and had a blast, went to South Congress afterwards, and the only shots were the ones people were drinking. I still call it Town Lake, go to Barton Springs, take visitors to the State Capitol and the UT campus, go to the Continental Club, and can still deal with large crowds, or avoid them. I was born at Bergstrom AFB, went to HS here and UT, moved all over the place, including Florida, Oklahoma, Louisiana & Colorado, and retired 20 miles from downtown Austin. I go to Austin when I want to, or just stay home.

That all sounds good! Glad the Continental Club is still going strong, and that (as I understand) Barton Springs is full again…

Trust me. Meet Miami fans. You will def hate no fanbase more. They are still proud of the "thug U" stuff. Very violent group.

When the City cut down hundreds year old pecan trees to build a parking garage on Barton Springs, I knew crap had changed.

I almost never drive into Austin these days.
Where exactly do you think this happened?

There is a parking garage adjacent to the Palmer Events Center on Barton Springs Road, which is close to, but much different than Barton Springs and Zilker Park.
