The liberal nature of Austin is world reknown. Dee Eee Eye, El Gee Bee Tee Queue, etc. is their siren songs.
The football team embodies this inclusivity so much that back in 1994 they allowed a player on their football team that was not even enrolled at UT and was using an alias to play.
Dear old Ron McKelvey (30 years old, that is) donned the Burnt Orange and was only exposed just before their bowl game.

To be fair I doubt any CFB can stand their biggest rival fans. I am sure Kentucky fans hate Louisville fans, Ohio State fans hate Michigan fans, etc

And I have to admit... there are some really nice campuses in the SEC...
But OU holds its own with most campuses and the area around OU is really nice compared to a lot of them.
It is hard to compare most campuses to Texas. Because Texas isn't really "pretty" as much as it is impressive and powerful looking. It reminds me more of a governmental complex of a country in Central or South America than anything else.... due to the size of the buildings and the style of archetecture on the campus. From that perspective it is a pretty stunning campus. But bucholic or pastoral... it ain't.
