Are you thinking it could be anything else? Freeze bought his top 5 class at Ole Miss & he's doing it at Auburn.
Look at Ryan Williams. He never had any intention of going to Auburn, but he strung them along the entire time because he was getting paid.

Extremely unlikely they will finish that high. They already have 25 recruits and their average is respectable, but I'm betting they finish somewhere around 7th. Top5 would be surprising. That's not far off their normal, and a little worse than their best in the early 2010's.
They'll need to replace some guys at the bottom and add some better ones at the top to maintain. Or get some bumps in ratings from existing etc.

I think Auburn has a lot going for it, I just don't see how anyone can want to play for Hugh Freeze anymore. Auburn has the NIL money, prestige of multiple national championships, great stadium and gameday environment, they can offer playing time, produce NFL players etc... But Hugh is such an absolute piece of shite I just don't see how a kid would choose to play there unless it is just a lot more money. Given that NIL is legal, Auburn could find just about anyone who could pull these recruiting classes that Hugh is but find a better coach and human being.

One under a heavy cloud of suspicion and the other flat out on probation.

If Deuce Knight can successfully pull the guys on his recruiting wish list it'll be a top class.

He will have to in order to maintain a top3 class. Other schools still have room left.
But as it is right now, I see Georgia and Texas both passing Auburn before the end of the year, Oregon also very likely.
That right there is already down to 6th. And then you have LSU who is currently slightly below in average(despite all their flexing all offseason about average), but they can also be dropping lower and picking up higher. And LSU typically recruits slightly better than Auburn.
And that would put Auburn about 7th.

Feel free to pull the offensive and defensive stats and prove me wrong.

Won't happen. It's not a narrative; it's just facts.

Listen I'm not Hugh's biggest fan but obviously the opinions of an Ole Miss fan don't really align with the impressions of the families of recruits who in large part really like him. Snake oil, whatever, but I just don't think you will find very many people who have a bunch of horror stories about how awful he is to people, and I don't recall much of that from Ole Miss either. I can't condone his personal conduct (whether he's appropriately made changes isn't something I can really ascertain) and I don't like how he blames personnel as a first instinct (though at AU there is a lot of truth to it).
I obviously like Bruce Pearl a lot better than Hugh, but I think they're similar in that regard. We hear from media, etc. what a snake Bruce is, but it's tough to find people who've had personal interactions with him in the last 10-20 years and say he was unkind or whatever. It's just not the "felt" reality by the large majority of people.
By way of another comparison, I heard for years what a dick Phil Mickelson was and it's probably true, but both from personal interaction and reputation, it was really hard to find a fan who said Phil mistreated them. Maybe it's all fake, but if it's so consistently fake that you can't find many people he did wrong, does it really matter at that point?

This right here ladies and gentlemen….
What this dumb arse Auburn fan is trying to say is:
“Type it in all caps so that the poors that can’t afford glasses can see it better.”
Because everyone else knows you can’t SAY anything on here and a HEARING AID has nothing to do with reading.
But he’s a auburn fan so we already knew he was a dumb frick.

He said pretty much anyone. I think UGA is probably 2-3 TDs better than us on our best day, but they're also a top 5ish team, perhaps better.
But I also don't think any Bama (or perhaps UGA fan) would be particularly surprised if they had to slog out a somewhat ugly win against this Auburn team if we take care of the football. See: last season.

They commit because they love the burnt orange. Especially in their lambos, F150s and private jets.
I wasn't throwing stones just calling it what it is.

Because we know that, statistically, essentially every aspect of our team has improved
You have also played a trash schedule against a terrible FCS team, a team with the worst statistical defense in FBS, 2 below average P4 programs, and a team coming off a loss starting a True Freshmen...all at home. Oklahoma is the best team you have played and I question how "good" they actually are.

There are a lot of nervous alabama fans in this thread.
Bro we're competing for national championships. Auburn may not win a single SEC game this year. Wtf are you talking about? Are you really this delusional?
What I do find to be REALLY strange is that a program coming off of 2 losing seasons, with a sketchy head coach who's never won anything of significance, is somehow reeling in a top 5 class.
That's super fricking weird.

They're just spending the money. Problem is, they still have a mediocre head coach. Even when he was in his prime and upsetting Bama at Ole Miss, he still never really won anything of note. Always lost some dumb games he shouldn't have.
Now others will just poach after the season and pick apart the carcass of the auburn football program.

This is just weird.
You get the sense that Auburn could go winless in the SEC, and then flip a 5-star linebacker from Georgia.
Either Auburn is doing some shady shite, or these kids are absolutely fricking retarded.
