I think it’s good. Not bad, not great, but good.

Definitely a risk but a good hire under the circumstances.

Y'all weren't getting Smart back so going young with some real success is a good gamble.

I was ecstatic as an Auburn fan and that is the general consensus from Auburn fans.

The Washington coach has 2 years in the Pac-12 with a unicorn at QB and suddenly he's qualified to be a major SEC head coach?

Kiffin, Lanning, Dabo, or someone else from SEC country was what everyone expected but we were shocked to not see it happen.

Good hire. Risky, but given the available candidates, about as good as one could hope for.

Personally I think Norvell would have been a better hire, but nonetheless KD is a good hire. Lots of questions moving forward though for sure.

Best hire possible for Alabama. I’m a fan of DeBoer.

Very promising hire. Just have to get the right staff behind him but a really good, safe hire.

With the talent he has at his disposal, y’all shouldn’t fall off like most expect.

If he gets enough time to settle in I think it could be really good. Thing is though he will have maybe a 3-4 year leash which may not work.

It’s a good hire. But I don’t think Bama will be patient. 10-2 year 1 and you guys will burn his house down.

Time will tell obviously.

As far as “splash” or appeasing the fanbase, he’s a hot commodity at the moment so it’s a good hire with recognition and pretty solid hire to followup Nicks tenure.

The question will be can he maintain 1 loss seasons, as that’s the bama standard. And if those seasons become 2 or 3 loss seasons, will he be given time to see if he can right the ship, or will he be immediately cut loose for the next hire.

I’d say it’s a sold B to B+ hire all things considered, recruiting TBD.

He’s a coach with playoff experience.
He’s won everywhere he has been.
He wants the challenge.
I don’t see an issue.

Best possible hire of the coaches available. How will he do in Tuscaloosa? If past production is any indication of future success he will do well.

Good. But it doesn't matter anyone other than Jesus Christ is going to be a step down from Saban.

If Bama fans can understand and accept this, DeBoer could even be a great hire.

I have no faith in Bama fans.

I think it can be good, but a bit risky.(can He recruit an area unknown to him and short history being an HC)

Kiffin, Lanning,

This makes too much sense. I agree with you. It's like this hire is too clean.
They basically went after someone that you can say lightning in a bottle status. It never works out well after that. This is a Dennis Franchione hire. I do not dislike the man or his family. He's just not going to make it here.

I agree 100%. I know a lot of your fanbase is trying to get excited about it but I would be surprised if he is still your head coach 6-7 years from now.
