The UGA defense was good early this season before the injury bug started taking a lot of key players off the field this year. It was not good late you are correct but early in the year UGA had a nasty D.

In fairness, Bama's secondary has allowed wide open WRs all year and only a couple higher end QBs can get them the ball.

Hitting a wide open player in stride may be a bigger mental thing than a quick strike decision in a tighter window.

21 to Tenn
41 to Bama
44 to Florida

And Florida and Bama were the only good offenses in the SEC this year

Ole Miss had a pretty damn good offense when that QB that started most of the year threw to the right team.

Sorry I forgot about Ole Miss. They definitely had a good offense. Georgia didn’t play them though

That would have been a good game to watch early this season. Ole Miss had a great offense at times. That QB though was bad inconsistent. When he was on he was on but that guy could throw 5 int’s in a game like you can drink water. Once he started he could not stop.

We have some cupcakes in the SEC. Auburn was basically one of them in 2020, IMO.

I think that random stat coupled with an all time CFB best regular season efficiency rating and best yds per attempt rating since Kyler Murray is pretty powerful. He isn't running a dink and dunk offense and is truly doing it with only one , undersized, but elite WR.

None of that takes away from others. His numbers are just surprisingly great the more one looks at them.

I don’t know if he is coming back or not but if he is and can cut out those mistakes then Ole Miss will be a very interesting team next year if Kiffin can fix the defense.

LSU, State, Missouri, Auburn, Vandy, Kentucky, SC, Tennessee, Ole Miss (sometimes), and Arkansas were all teams without a pulse.

Can’t remember the last time the SEC was as bad as this year.

I would give Arky a little more credit this year. After going what 2 or 3 years without an SEC win and then win 3 SEC games in a year like this was pretty good. I know the standards was super low but still they at least showed a heartbeat this year.

I guess. I don’t know just watching their games this year vs last year I feel like they were honestly not much better if better than last year

Burrow was more athletic in the pocket and there's a premium put on that these days, but not many throw a prettier, or more accurate, ball than Mac.

Yeah they was not fantastic by any stretch but they may have found them a coach anyway. Arky should have at least one more win this year too because that Auburn game they got totally screwed.

Joe's best statistical games came against the top teams in the nation. It didn't matter who he played. Quit with the stat padding argument, you look like a fool

Mac will never be remembered in lore compared to the likes of Tebow, Cam, Burrow, etc..Just accept it already.

How many of those QBs (that didn't get hired for a 180k one and done season that still took some whirly birds and miracles) were more than single year starters in the SEC? What did first year stat comparisons look like?

This is your QB

Yes, he is. And, he's a pretty damn good one. No one ever said he is GOAT or in the elite class of others you mentioned. But, the fact remains, he throws a REALLY good deep ball and makes quick decisions and delivers an accurate ball.

Mac Jones is having an amazing year during one of the SEC's worst years of all team. There is no decent team outside of Alabama. Like a HS team vs toddlers
