You could make the same exact point about LSU last year. I see a lot of LSU fans calling that the greatest season in CFB history though. Bama actually played against better teams this year than LSU did last year though. Florida this year was miles better than 2019. So was A&M, Ole Miss, Arky, and a few more teams. Plus there was 10 SEC games this year.

I'd take the the total team feel and over balance of the 2020 team offense with a healthy Waddle over the 2019 team. 2019 was deeper on talent, but 2020 seems to click better together.
And, 2020 defense and STs are an improvement as well.
The competition is what it is, but its still an impressive feat against an all P5 schedule. Best in CFB history in terms of efficiency covers a lot of odd years, conferences and weak SOSs

None of those played this year. How was Mac's stats last year?
Oh and I downvoted because you're asking about your own team's QB. Shouldn't you know how good or bad he is by now??

Mac didn’t have any non conference cupcakes to pad his stats
And his second best win has 4 loses and just had a fresh mudhole stomped in them where there got served up a nice warm FIFTY BURGER.
His schedule is dogshit at best
But go ahead and keep trying to rationalize it in your head

Finally, a fair, objective point.
So, it is also impossible to declare any GOAT stat or team based on the same logic, which extends to schedules, field and game conditions.

True... he padded them against SEC teams that were very below average this year.
But, I'm sure you're insinuating that Burrow padded stats? Like Tua did?? But Burrow's were padded in two games, the CFP for the tune 900+yes and 5TDs.

In relation to all time greatest CFB deep ball throwers? I watch a lot of football, but not that much. And, admit it is hard to remove ones own bias, so why not open it up for discussion

Why do y’all take this bait? . Even he doesn’t believe this.

He's about as good of a 7 on 7 QB as I've ever seen!! At least as good as Brodie Croyle!!

Mac Jones is a very good college quarterback but lets be honest about what he’s asked to do and who he’s playing around each game.
His snap-to-affect-time he feels in most games is insane. Dude can stay behind the line of scrimmage as long as a guy like Manziel - who got it by scrambling around against mush/contain rushes - but Mac is just stepping up or sidestepping in the pocket. Essentially Alabama’s offense runs enough to make you play man then calls a max protect play action where they bet Smith or Metchie shake your guys before you get to Mac.
He throws a good deep ball. He not that bad at locating balls in windows. Doesn’t force balls into needlessly risky directions but also doesn’t become a tepid checkdown artist. He occasionally starts games a bit too amped up and loses some of his accuracy and overthrows a ball or two. Most recently in the SECCG that TD he missed when Metchie broke a guy’s ankles on a move before getting upfield. Intangibles seem pretty good. Team really took umbrage when he got called a game manager. Guys seem to like playing with him.
I could see him being a 2nd rounder or a reach 1st rounder for a team that really likes him this year. He didn’t participate in Senior day despite finishing his Masters program. My guess is he comes back for 2021 and we’ll get a better judge on his pure ability w/ a younger group of skill guys and nearly a completely new OL.

LSU being the biggest cupcake of all.
Exactly....LSU statistically had one of the worst defenses in the country, only slightly better than another Alabama opponent Ole Miss, so maybe stop trying to pimp an all-SEC schedule because it really doesn’t mean what y’all want it to mean

But, Brodie was a strong armed, fearless gunslinger. Likely a better 7 on 7 QB, as was Tua.
Mac is in the McCarron mold but with better skill range and decision making, which is saying something because McCarron in the post Kiffin offenses would have been historic over a 3 yr start.

I agree violently with all except his coming back. His stock is as high as it will be and a 2nd or 3rd round pick and decade in the pros as a backup isn't a bad life

Just imagine receivers and quarterbacks helping each other out and working together like teammates should.
Every heisman candidate QB in the history of heisman candidate QBs has also had great receivers. It's part of the deal.

Nobody was beating that LSU team after the Ole Miss game.
Y’all can be right there with them if y’all crush these last two opponents but until then it’s just wishful thinking on your part.
