Last year LSU played against a Florida team that wasn’t near as good as this years team. Same can be said for Ole Miss, Arky, A&M, etc. LSU played against a Bama team that was down by the Bama standard. Bama was playing defense with players that really needed a redshirt year but was pressed into action because that was all we had at the time. UGA was better this year when Bama played them than the 2019 team was that LSU beat. Anyway my point is most of you LSU fans get on here and talk about the greatest season this and that and how Burrow was the second coming but the same teams you guys beat last year all got better this season despite the pandemic. Mac Jones has matched Burrows season last year if not passed him by. And Jones didn’t have the benefit of playing 2 or 3 games against either Group of 5 teams or FCS teams. Jones had 10 SEC opponents to deal with. Plus in the playoff Bama won’t get the benefit of playing Chokelahoma in the Semifinals and if Bama plays against Clemson this year this Clemson team is miles better than last years team that LSU beat.

The etc was some of the same teams that LSU played last year that got better this season.
Bama played UGA the 4 th game this year when they was still pretty much at full strength. The defense Jones played against was way better than the one Burrow played against in 2019. The offense was about the same for UGA but the UGA D this year started out as nasty as you can get until the injuries started to stack up.
Burrow still got 2 or 3 games against way overmatched teams that helped pad his stats. Jones had to do it all against SEC teams. Big difference in size and speed playing against SEC teams than a FCS team or a Group of 5 team.
Lastly the ND team this year is better than any playoff OU team. ND may have a rep for choking in big games but OU is the king of choking in the playoffs. And as far as Clemson goes this year I guess we will have to see if that game takes place. But if Clemson and Bama get it on this year fro the title Clemson will be better. Lawrence is a year better no doubt and that’s enough for any team to deal with.

Its just false and an idiotic thing to say. The pandemic has also lended bama a nice advantage of not having to play any REAL road games this year. Lot easier playing in front of empty stadiums on the road.

If you care to pull the numbers and look at them separately, you'll find that Burrow performed better against P5 teams than the rest. I know thats probably not what you want to hear but its true

You realize they already have 1 loss right? The team LSU beat last year was coming in on a 29 game win streak and was a much better all around team.

The facts support my argument. Bama has played against more improved teams than LSU played last year. Jones has played every bit as good as Burrow. Even better than Burrow on deep throws with his best deep threat taken away. The only conjecture about all this is that LSU had the greatest season in CFB history last season and that Joe Burrow was the greatest player ever to play the game like so many of you LSU trolls claim.

Lol, SoG. I asked a simple conversation starter.
So, unlike my lucky chair/shirt/drink/cup and breakfast routine, I can't affect a single play in a Bama game. But, that doesn't mean we should skip actual discussion until seasons end, whatever it may bring.
