You better pray they schedule someone awesome in OOC so you get a decent game every other year.

Their future OOC schedule is pretty stacked.

Always a favorite of mine. "Their schedule is weak, they need us." Yea... which is why Texas has scheduled Bama, OSU, Michigan, UF, UGA, LSU, hell even Arkansas as their non-con competition in the future.

How many of these teams have a more recent 10-win season or more recent bigger bowl win than the Aggies? Who exactly on that list is A&M a head-and-shoulders upgrade over besides Kansas and ISU? Honestly?

I for one am all for the game coming back. Great game during the Thanksgiving holiday and I know my family and family friends miss it as well. It's a shame that business and egos got in the way, and I'm completely able to accept Texas's part in that. But I'd still like to see the game come back during Thanksgiving. If UF & FSU, GT & UGA, ND & USC, Louisville & Kentucky, etc. can do it, why the hell can't Texas & Texas A&M.

Exactly. They've realized they created a shite heap of a conference with no good home games. OOC SOS is their only hope to play big games. That's why they're suddenly interested in renewing the A&M series, an automatic big home game every other year that people will actually want to attend. Again, I say frick em.

Well that shite heap of a conference kicked aggy arse from 1994 till aggy left. That’s why aggy still sucks today no matter what conference they’re in.

And Texas still sucks.

When do you start your search for a new coach?

I would suggest now.

Those programs are by all accounts good business partners to one another. Texas was a terrible business partner to A&M, is a terrible business partner to the Big 12, and burned a lot bridges orchestrating the lawsuits and series cancellations that accompanied A&M's move to the SEC. And despite all they, A&M and the SEC kept A&M's Thanksgiving weekend open to accomodate the series until UT said no.

Now Texas needs bigger home games to sell tickets, and all of a sudden they want to be buddy-buddy again like none of that ever happened? Sorry assholes. Doesn't work like that. You cancelled the series because you thought it was in your own best itnerest to do so, and we'll resume it when we feel it's in our best interest to do so.

From that perspective hard to disagree with you.

We realize that they are desperate to play us. Basically begging. But we’re just not interested.

Big 12 began play in 1996.

And these days the conference enjoys kicking Texas's arse. Horns better figure something out soon, or they may lose their coveted #2 spot in the pecking order to Baylor in the next couple seasons. Baylor only has one less Big 12 title than UT at this point, and is arguably the better program at the moment.

Herman probably just wants to make out with all of their players since Aggies seem to be into that.

Kansas State - achieved a higher ranking, beat more ranked opponents and won the most recent game against TAMU. Fiesta Bowl participant 2012 (a NY6/BCS game appearance has never happened in A&M history)

Baylor - 11 wins last season, invited to Sugar Bowl (a NY6/BCS game appearance has never happened in A&M history)

West Virginia - Orange Bowl champions in 2011 season (a NY6/BCS game has never happened in A&M history)

Oklahoma State - 2011 Fiesta Bowl champions, Sugar Bowl participants in 2015 (a NY6/BCS game appearance has never happened in A&M history)

TCU - Several 10 & 11-win seasons, Peach Bowl champions 2014 (a NY6/BCS game appearance has never happened in A&M history)

Baylor - 11-win season in 2019, invited to 2019 Sugar Bowl, 2014 Cotton Bowl, & 2013 Fiesta Bowl participant (a NY6/BCS game appearance has never happened in A&M history)

Iowa State & Texas Tech - I'll give you those.

Congrats. You have accomplished more than 2/10 teams in the Big 12.

No wonder y'all ran away

No you haven't. You're still traumatized by years of taking a back seat to the Longhorns.

Texas owns the Aggies in football by a 2 to 1 margin. Texas has national titles in football and baseball that Aggies fantasize about.

The truth is that aTm is given more credit than they deserve in terms of their relevance in major college sports.

Do y'all ever wonder why programs consider you the little brother? It's posts like this...

quote:

burned a lot bridges orchestrating the lawsuits and series cancellations that accompanied A&M's move to the SEC

Who exactly did the University of Texas file suit against? And you left... why should Texas have considered scheduling A&M as they were leaving the conference in 2011?

quote:

Now Texas needs bigger home games to sell tickets, and all of a sudden they want to be buddy-buddy again like none of that ever happened? Sorry assholes.

Right... which is why ever since A&M went to go adopt new fathers in 2012, Texas was busy scheduling UF, UGA, Bama, LSU, Notre Dame, OSU, Michigan, USC... need I go on? If any one of those schools were to quit football in 2020, A&M wouldn't catch their list of accomplishments by 2070.

quote:

You cancelled the series because you thought it was in your own best itnerest to do so, and we'll resume it when we feel it's in our best interest to do so

Uh... you left the conference because you were tired of being dominated by your father. So I would think A&M shares some of the blame as well.

But hey, I guess it's better being mediocre and a doormat in the SEC than it is being the same in the Big 12, which your fans seem hellbent on ridiculing despite the fact that A&M accomplished nothing during their time there.

Ouch. Truth hurts sometimes aggy.

But, to be fair...Texas hasn't done shite recently either. aggy's just made that their football program's "pedigree"

Oh, no arguments here. I think 2010-2019 will go down as the single worst decade in Longhorn football history

The sad thing is: during the same time period A&M had their single best player ever, best season in 70 years, and one 10-win season, which culminated in probably their second best decade ever...

And that second-best decade ever was MAYBE on par with Texas's worst decade ever. And still resulted in less NY6 bowls and 0 conference championships.

But they'll convince you that they're the flagship. Because Beta is as Beta does

A&M ain’t scared, but frick Texas. Everybody in the Big 12 should say frick Texas. What kind of conference cowtows to one school? They get a disproportionate of revenue in that a Conference. OU is the pussies here, not A&M.
