Have you ever been to Vanderbilt as an away fan for a football game?

And how badly did you outnumber the home fans?
Watching Vandy highlights and doesn't seem like they ever have a true home SEC game. The best showing looked to vs Missouri, but it's still hard to tell since they're also gold and black.

LSU absolutely took it over in 2019. Was an early morning game and It was 3/4-1.

Yeah there were vastly more UGA fans there but I'm sure the Vandy fans had a Bachelorette party to attend or something more important.

Went in 2009. There were way more of us than them. I knew people who went to the 2013 season opener when we played them up there on prime time ESPN and they said it was still a 60/40 split

We outnumbered them badly in 2018 when I went. AJ Brown's catch was deemed a drop in OT and the stadium was pissed

Didn’t UGA take over Notre Dame’s stadium when they went up there? I remember there were ALOT of pissed off Notre Dame fans/alumni after that happened. They said at best it was a neutral site game for them

Yes, but it still wasn't as bad as going to Duke when Alabama played them there in 2010.
Posted attendance was 40k, but the crowd was easily 85% Alabama fans, and what few Duke fans were there were mainly silent (even the student section).
Open-ended stadium with portable bleachers and a small high school scoreboard.
The Alabama team just hung around an old field house at halftime and then jogged back onto the field for the second half.
Absolutely shocked me how passionate they are about basketball and couldn't seem to care less about
football.
BTW, Mark Ingram had 9 carries for 150+ yards, in his first game back off a knee injury. I think the final score was 62-13.

I’ve been several games at Vandy where the Vols are the home team

Pruitts first year I think, but we played Vandy at Vandy and lost. The road team won though based on attendance.
Reminds me of going to a UTC game honestly. Good news is the lines aren’t long.

Vandy has the Smallest alumni base and fan base in the SEC, by a ton. Pretty sure about 6 sec teams have more alumni and fans in Nashville than Vandy does.
Vandy also hasn't been competitive in years. When franklin was there and we were winning, we had some solid crowds.
Until Vandy starts winning some gsmes consistently, just not enough side walk fans willing to go watch them get murdered by Uga and bama and ut and uk and others (ETSU)

Many times. Out of 41000 seats 25K were Bama fans

Most of the Vandy fans actually at events are the workers. How full would most SEC venues be if it was just the employees and their families?

Yes, its like watching a college football game in a High School Stadium.

was not there - but 2016 for Mushcamp's debut on a Thursday night before Labor Day was quite a turnout for USC. Gamecocks won 13-10 in front of the announced 30304 fans. 20K+ were easily Gamecocks. Carolina had the whole visitors side all the way down surrounding the VU students/band as well as most all of the EZ seats filled with G&B.
there was once an aerial shot of the stadium in the photo gallery for the game taken to show the pro-Carolina crowd at Gamecocksonline.com but it's no longer accessible.
have been multiple times in the 90s through Lou. the 2004 season opener was another Carolina took over the stadium. everyone was predicting Cutler & VU with its 21 returning starters to beat USC and the Gamecocks won easily 31-6. did not travel while the HBC was here. USC usually has upwards of 10K in Nash most years - until the last couple of trips with Mushcamp.

We've always called away games at Vandy as Commonwealth Stadium South. We vastly outnumber Vandy fans

A&M was there a few years ago the Saturday before Thanksgiving. I'm up in Lexington and went down for the game.
If there were 2.5K Vandy fans there I'd be surprised.
That said, Nashville is always a fun time and I will make the trip at every opportunity.
