A few Alabama ones. My sister lives down there so it’s a good reason to visit.

A few times. They used to be pretty fun, like regular games. Then they turned into lame little drill sessions.

I did the first year Bielema was our coach. It was fun, but I haven't been since.

I did one time in the Chad Morris era and it was icing in LR

I go a lot of years if I don’t have a meet just because there’s an A-Club bbq and I’m coaching most Saturdays in the fall and don’t get to those games.
Usually other events happening on-campus too

I've been to several, including today's. But I live here in Lexington so it's nothing for me to go.

I went to Saban’s first and a couple of others.

While other teams are practicing
Ole Miss running a clown show
That should serve them well this fall

Last time I went to one was 2010, I think. Mettenberger looked like the best QB on the roster. Turnout was decent despite being held the same weekend as the Masters.

Used to every year when I lived in Oxford

I go whenever not working, good excuse as any to go up to Oxford. I do think it is a bit of relic now much like the pro-bowl.

Units all right.
Best if you can sit low enough to hear the interaction between coaches and players.
You won’t see anything earth shattering but you will see and hear the behind the scenes stuff if you’re paying attention.

You realize spring camp is more than just one day right?
Maybe….just maybe….you should just worry about your own team considering you fielded a SWAC defense last year and lost the only reason why you even won enough games to become bowl eligible.

Other schools will be copying us next year. It was a fun day for the players and it engaged the students as well.

I was one of the 92K for Saban's first Spring game and that was quite an experience. People just kept coming and coming and filling seats, and not long after the start it was full.
The players were looking and staring, and some recruits came in and looked stunned. People knew it was the start of something big, and it was a chance to show their support.

I will say that spring games at Oklahoma used to be a lot more entertaining than they are these days.
They used to have a varsity alumni game until the '80s and before the NFL stopped them... we actually saw NFL guys play in the game
Then for a long time it was an actual "scrimmage" between two teams of a squad that was split in two
Now it is offense vs. defense with funky arse scoring systems where the defense gets points for different things. They still can't get a scoring system where it is fair to both sides. And of course it is just "touch" football on the QBs.
Completely non entertaining other than watching individual players.

As a student I went all four years if only for about 20 minutes then left. It’s a huge event for day drinking as a student, the chicks are out hopefully wearing sun dresses, not shite else going on so it always ended up being a helluva day. But like I said, we’d go in for like 20 mins then be like frick this I need another beer so we’d leave

I went once either my freshman or sophomore year. Bear was coach; it was hot and boring! Defensive game and not much scoring. Of course, that is how we wanted it back then. Stadium held 60000 then and probably there were fewer than 10000 in attendance. I sat on the 50 yard line.
