37 national championships, and counting (27 at LSU, 10 at A&M).

Yeah, he gets more opportunities every year than a single-sport coach (indoor and outdoor, men and women).

Still, that’s just a mind boggling number.

Still kinda shocked he ever left LSU, if I’m honest.

Elite track coach A&M hired away from LSU. LSU never held a grudge tho.

I have a degree from LSU. I work with several LSU alums. I know and live around thousands of LSU fans. I have never heard one mention of Pat Henry.

Question for anyone: Did Achane ever end up running track or working with Coach Henry in any capacity while he was in B/CS?

I can immediately think of someone who did better in the exact sport you're talking about.

Paul Assaiante at trinity squash. 13 straight titles and didn’t lose a match at all during that stretch.

This guy. Arkansas dominated for years.

McDonnell's 40 national championships (which include 19 in indoor track, 10 in outdoor track and 11 in cross country) are more than any coach in any sport in the history of college athletics.[8]

McDonnell also won five national triple crowns (in 1984-85, 1991–92, 1992–93, 1994–95 and 1998–99). Texas-El Paso has won three national triple crowns.

It was a mutual agreement at the time to let him go. Unfortunately. for aTm it’s the first and last coach that will ever leave LSU to step down at aTm. Your school has tried so hard to go after our coaches even with more money and the majority have shot it down. aTm is where careers die

Pat Henry is a great coach and an even better man. I was real disappointed to see him go.

It is a requirement for Aggy's AD to interview anyone with any LSU experience for a position on their coaching staff.

Their AD is more obsessed with us than all of their trolls/alters on the Tiger Rant combined.

I’m a retard because I’ve never heard a former track coach’s name come up in conversation with my fellow LSU alums? Some of you people need to get out more.
