Speaking strictly for me, I neither like nor dislike him. He should have taken a moment to express his condolences to the barn and Bama for their losses. Unfortunately, he holds a position that short of murdering somebody, is mighty hard to lose.

That's great if he was the NFL commissioner, but I don't think Starr is even in the CFB HOF.

It'll probably reach more people than were watching the baseball game (something his family probably isn't doing right now). It's also possible that he's made a personal message directly to the family. That would mean a lot more than saying something during a baseball game.

We are in a new age of commissioners who studied law and business which will never be good for college sports where family ties should be more important than JUST numbers on a balance sheet.
Live was smart enough to know SEC football money could bolster non football sports across the league. Not sure Sankey knows not to kill the golden goose by bleeding all the money out of it.

The way he 'handled' the FL/LSU "hurricane" issue was simply MORONIC...several SEC issues, since then have been also botched/mis-handled or he's demonstrated some form of open bias ! Now, the Big 10,11,12,13 or whatever, have displaced the SEC as the top $ conference...what's next ?
