I’m a big Indianapolis Colts fan so I agree with the Aggie. We beat the Chiefs in a game this season so I gloat all of the time how we are the Chief’s Daddy and how we own them. It’s glorious to be the fan of a team that owns the Chiefs like that!

Well considering many had picked LSU to finish where A&M actually finished at the end of the season most LSU fans would be ok with where LSU finished with a new coach and basically a lot of new starters.
Now let's consider your team who were picked by many to make the playoff and top 5 team. With a coach that had just pulled in a top recruiting class making a boat load of money at the school he has already been coaching for 5 years. Then you finish dead last in the SEC west. You want embarrassing

I have an Aggie friend I enjoy discussing (and lightly trolling) Aggie football with that mirrors this rationality. It seems as if he could have written your statement, but he would have added the sense of hopelessness about the coach contract situation as well. As an outsider, I honestly find the whole thing fascinating, and I am convinced that there is an element to Aggie "culture and identity" that makes it difficult for them to be openly and honestly critical of their program.
