Grades range from the rare A+, a designation achieved by five teams, to the dreaded F, a damning indictment saved this year for just one supreme underachiever: Texas A&M, a preseason College Football Playoff contender that finished out of bowl play at 5-7.

That must be embarrassing as hell for LOLSU to lose to a team that got an "F".

Alabama with an "A-" after an 11-2 season where the team completely embarrassed the playoff committee and the Big 12 champs.

I wasn't expecting an A+, but this wasn't less than an "A" season by any stretch of the imagination.

You poll the Alabama fanbase and the grade is drastically different.

Shows how spoiled the last 15 yrs have made us.

It is. Not a good luck when a powerhouse program loses to a perennial pretender. Should never happen.

Bama was one of the most favored title contenders in history coming into the season. A- is a stretch

Classic little brother Aggie. A tale as old as time. Consistently underperform, act as a doormat for their conference but hang their hat on that one major upset they managed to pull out of their arse. Rinse and repeat. This mentality is why A&M will never win a national championship.

I start to understand what the Longhorns dealt with all those years more and more every day.

You beat me to the reply.

Having an 11-2 Alabama team at an A implies that having 5 games that could have gone "either way" (and going 3-2 in those 5) is OK for seasons moving forward.

That isn't the Alabama grading curve.
Considering the last time that Saban lost 3 games was 2010, that type of curve would value the season at C+ or B-.
(If it was a college bell curve for Saban, it would be a C-).
He's that good. His average is that good.

Not sure how the playoff committee was "embarrassed" by leaving Bama out.

Bama left themselves out by losing two games.

Another championship for Aggie. Bama should be a C imho. I guess because the manner in which they lost the games to Tenn and LSU they bumped them a bit. I'd give them a C- based on expectations and the eyeball test compared to the roster talent and returning Heisman qb etc.

Still hurting from the A&M beatdown I see. LOLSU is starting to get worried about Jimbo. They can't seem to beat him on a regular basis.

What's hilarious is that they're absolutely oblivious to how this makes them look.

Any rational college football fan would've rather had LSU's season than A&M's season. However most, if not all aggie fans would tell you that they'd rather finish 5-7 because it means they beat LSU than finish with 10 wins and play in the SEC Championship Game

Didn’t really look at most of the other team’s grades but have no problem with an F for A&M. While I wasn’t drinking the koolaid as much as Desmond Howard to start the season and think playoff, we have more than enough talent on the roster to get 9 or 10 wins so 5 is pretty inexcusable.

Any rational person would understand that trolling lsu fans on the rant for the loss doesn’t equal being happy with how our season ended, it’s just bragging rights over the game for 1 year. No A&M fans would prefer 5 wins vs 10 just by beating lsu, don’t be obtuse.
