Franklin coached Cornelius Williams at Troy.

"You hired a weak man with no back bone"
Sounds like bullshite to me. Harsin comes off as a hard arse who is building a culture of accountability. And there's always big pushback when that happens initially but it ends up being a great thing long term.
Saban did that at Alabama but because it's Saban, the team and fanbase bought in day 1 and that's why they turned it around so quick.

Will Friend is Auburn’s offensive line coach? The same Will Friend who had mediocre results at Tennessee with a bunch of four and five star recruits + Trey Smith to work with? No wonder Auburn’s offensive line is so mediocre.
Auburn's offensive line has been mediocre long before Will Friend stepped on campus.

Pretty crafty way for Tony Franklin to promote his podcast I doubt anyone even knew he had.

Tony Franklin is the guy who had to clean out his office in midseason
He wishes he was Bryan Harsin

Really more like year two. That 2007 team didn't buy in much (DJ Hall "Looks like Tarzan plays like Jane") and that bunch, save for a few bright spots, had to be run off. This was the La-Monroe year, remember?

Exactly. Tony Franklin calling anyone "soft", especially a hard charging dude like Harsin, is highly, highly ironic.
It was pointed out on the Auburn board that one of those books in his infamous picture is titled something like "The Natural Cures They Don't Want You to Know About". Lol frick Tony Franklin.

Says the team that wants to be like one of them and took 20 years to catch up and go ahead in the all time series with the other!

Never heard of Tony Franklin before this...
He was the architect of the offensive juggernaut that produced this classic.
Still a fricking recurring nightmare all these years later.

You are right.....Ray Charles could have seen that. Seems we need to have someone review the review ref.

It looks like he's lost a ton of weight though.

I didn’t know Franklin was a gump. Seems the only people who are this upset are gumps. Didn’t saban have to go back on his own word and let a suspended receiver off the bench play just to beat La monroe his first year?
