He has a 22 minute podcast, and apparently spent most of it ranting about AU? Seems like sour grapes to me, and incredibly unprofessional.

Williams was responsible for substitutions and there were multiple times where the offense had 10 guys on the field. Also receivers have been cutting routes short. Williams isn’t a good coach, but he may be a good dude. I mean heck Gus is a good dude but he’s a terrible coach.

If Auburn goes o-for in the SEC this year will you give Franklin props for being right?

“Four games in and you crack, and you fire your receivers coach?” he asked. “The best coached group on the field for offense was your receivers. You’re basically firing your receivers coach because your offensive line sucks. Your offensive line is bad.”

Franklin? Give me props. I've been saying I'd be surpised if Auburn won a conference game this year, since the offseason.

He has zero control of the shitty OL and DL that he inherited. If the offense starts to actually have 11 guys on the field and receivers start running 8 yards instead of 6 on 3rd and 7 then I’ll be happy. Harsin is a technical coach and Williams just wasn’t getting it done to his standards. He came from Troy for crying out loud. Half the state laughed at auburn when he was hired but now they’re saying he was done wrong now that he’s gone.

Auburn could very easily lose the next 5 games but I doubt we lose to SCAR and MSU. 1 of the 2 if not both will be W’s. Even the great Nick Saban lost to Louisiana Monroe his first year.

I will if you read that Tony Robbins book your white knight is toting to his car and tell us all how Franklin's career could have gone off the rails.

Great read! Thanks for posting.

Normally I'd say "Harsin needs time to get his guys", but, if I were Auburn I'd be thinking a bit more pro-actively. The dude isnt going to do what it takes to be elite in recruiting so he is going to cause some holes in the team if he doesn't pick it up.

I can vouch for that, watching a lot of South Alabama games.

In the Sunbelt they basically just have guys try to go deep and hope for the best.

This is the correct answer. He has coached 4 games. Franklin is right about Auburn's oline. They were pushed around by PSU and GA State, but he is wrong about wr's. This is Harsin's team. If Harsin isn't happy with a coach it is his perogative to fire him. If Auburn doesn't make the second year jump under a new coach, then they should get worried. The truth is the talent level is what it is, and it is not Harsin's fault. Not this year at least.
