I haven’t seen this chumps name in ages.

I remember back in ‘08 when Aubs laughed Bama because Saban never allowed anyone from his coaching staff to do interviews. They call him dictator. Then Tubs allowed Tony Franklin to address the media after games and he was so shitty that Tubs did the same think Coach Saban did and within a couple of weeks Franklin was packing his crap.
Tubs and his BBQ Bunch all got canned at the end of that season.

Same as when Aubs called Bama fans “star gazers” and laughed at Saban’s “recruiting championships”.

I'm sure it's only a matter of time until Georgia copies that too.

Same Tony Franklin that wanted his offensive linemen to be 270-280 lbs when he was OC at Auburn?

This is what makes me laugh the most. Had one of the worst ol’s in sec history and worst philosophy on them as well yet says it’s their fault but the wr’s are the best coached unit on team despite the running backs straight killing it

I have serious doubt that Franklin was sober. He has issues with the sauce and doesn't handle it well at times

Williams was responsible for substitutions and there were multiple times where the offense had 10 guys on the field. Also receivers have been cutting routes short. Williams isn’t a good coach, but he may be a good dude. I mean heck Gus is a good dude but he’s a terrible coach.

I have no idea what Auburn's specific issues are. I watched a good bit of the Penn St game, and I saw the end of the GA ST game just in time to see the refs give Auburn a catch, which I'm guessing everyone saw because it happened right after the Arkansas game ended. I'm not analyzing it though.

But I do know he fired a guy he hired after only 4 games, and I doubt it has to do with receivers cutting routes short.

I don't have a clue who Tony Franklin is but I already don't like him. What a clueless idiot.

Ok I’ll bite

quote:

”You hired a weak man with no backbone who is gonna get run over by all these boosters,” he said.

This is a tired worn out line that gets used but let’s digest it.

If the boosters are throwing their weight around already, then they were involved from the moment Harsin was hired. So then who suggested we hire a guy from Troy with ties to the South? Harsin who has no ties to the South and is bringing a bunch of Boise guys with him or the boosters?

Who did we replace Williams with? A Boise guy that Harsin brought with him. So the boosters are forcing Harsin to bring in guys that Harsin is already familiar with? Seems like a strange move. Also seems strange Harsin would fight that.

quote:

“You called a press fade for the inside slot receiver for your go-to play to beat Penn State?” he asked. “That’s your go to? That’s what you got? That’s what you go to?”

Fair criticism. Agree with it.

quote:

“Four games in and you crack, and you fire your receivers coach?” he asked. “The best coached group on the field for offense was your receivers. You’re basically firing your receivers coach because your offensive line sucks. Your offensive line is bad.”

Best coaches group? Maybe you could say they’re all poorly coached but best coached? Seems biased. We’ve had 10 guys on the field multiple times? Why? WR wasn’t out there. WRs have been unable to create space. We’ve had a shite ton of drops. What makes him think they’re the best coached group?

quote:

“Did you fire the offensive line coach? He’s an Alabama guy (Will Friend). That would make all the Auburn people happy. Fire the Alabama offensive line coach. He started four years at Alabama, and you hired him as your offensive line coach?”

Why isn’t that who the boosters picked to fire? Since you know, the guy with no backbone didn’t make the decision. The boosters did.

That wasnt a catch at all. Sure right they gave them a catch. Ball clearly was moving and hit the ground. He trapped it.
