Never heard of Tony Franklin before this, but now I’m convinced he’s just a shilling a-hole.

Both he and the guy just fired were part of the legendary Troy coaching tree.

Although Franklin was much worse imo.

AU has always been run by the big money donors. I see nothing has changed. Looks like their new coach is already feeling the heat.

What?! He just started as the HC of Auburn this year! Why would it be a bad look? Harsin probably needs more time to get used to the SEC teams and evaluate Auburn current players. Next year is where he will be judge. Not this year.

I have not.

I can tell you that the next time Harsin wins a big game, it will be the 2nd time in his 9 year career - and some might even consider it his first.

I’m gonna suggest the guy was fired for problems over his 9 month tenure , not just his coaching performance through 4 games.

Very likely AND the fact that his replacement was already in the building.

Will Friend is Auburn’s offensive line coach? The same Will Friend who had mediocre results at Tennessee with a bunch of four and five star recruits + Trey Smith to work with? No wonder Auburn’s offensive line is so mediocre.

Auburn had looked different until this Ga State game. The receiver play cost them the Penn St game and almost got them beat by Ga State, but granted even with good WR play Ga State was going to keep that game closer than it should have been.

Franklin is a bitter old man who couldn't handle the stress at the Power 5 level. He's lucky several Auburn players and former staff have a higher standard. If what he said/did was known publicly his career would have been over instead of just a black eye.

Talent is the major issue. People are just now realizing how poorly Gus recruited the last 2-3 years. He stopped trying to win recruiting battles on OL,DL and LB positions. He went after skill players.

This rebuilding job is going to be very similar to what Tubs experienced when he came to Auburn. In the past the talent was there but the coaching and team play was poor. Now he's having to fix all aspects of the team including talent.

He comes across in his rant like he's a pissed off Auburn fan, which is weird. Why the hell is he still watching and critiquing Auburn football games?
