Guys, this is a thread about an old celebrity picking football games on College Gameday.
We didn’t list his politics, we posted his public opinion that America is like Nazi Germans trying to exterminate the Jews
I personally think that makes him kinda unlikeable

I think the Katy Perry appearance ruffled more feathers than any other guest picker I can recall. It definitely would make my top 5 list.

For someone who probably knew nothing about college football, she did terrific. She got involved because her touring manager at the time was an Ole Miss alum.

The lady you referring to was the granddaughter of his first wife (who he had divorced before the the young woman was born).
Both Freeman and she denied the tabloid rumors. He stayed in her life and acted as a grandfather figure to her. After she was murdered by her drugged out BF in a horrible way on the streets of NY, the a-hole BF's sleazy lawyers drug that shite back into court to slander her and establish some sense of instability on her part. It was all BS.
I am certain Freeman (like all men) has had moments he isn't proud of, but that one is complete tabloid gossip. The whole thing around her death was tragic as was the effect it had on him.
Kind of a shite thing to bring up TBH, especially if uninformed.
He has a great reputation and a long career. Nothing indicates he is anything other than a genuinely good person, if you agree with his politics or not.

Meh, I’ve been fortunate to have had conversations with Morgan. He’s a “live and let live liberal” who detests Black History Month.
He grew up dirt poor and was able to make something of himself. He’s one of our greatest actors and someone who has worked to tell the story of Mississippi Blues.
I don’t really care what his political stances are at this point. At his age he’s earned the right to have them.
