Gameday Getting Harder and Harder to Watch

ESPN has essentially turned it into The Today Show with football thrown in. Instead of analyzing football, they dedicate massive chunks of the broadcast to forced celebrity cross-promotion, endless sob stories, and weird crap.
Case in point: this morning's broadcast in Knoxville for the Texas/Tennessee game. Jen Lada spent actual airtime covering a "wedding tailgate" for a Tennessee fan (Claire) and a Texas fan (Kris). ESPN’s press room stated that they had already eloped in Austin last month. A rather pointless bit if you ask me.
Gone are the days of Xs and Os and Corso mascot heads.

It's been downhill ever since they added rat face to the show. I keep it mostly on mute. Unmute for Saban and picks or good interviews.

McAfee’s obnoxiousness makes it tough to watch. For every 2 minutes of Saban talking football, you have to endure 5 minutes of McAfee screaming.

Saban replacing Corso tho was an upgrade.
In show product promotion was a downgrade

That story Marty just did on the Tennessee LB was one of the best GD features I’ve seen in a long time.

It’s so hard for fans to keep the energy out there for 3 hours when 2.5 hours of the program is crap they don’t care about.
