By accepting the request, and the players signing the agreement, they are now covered under the CBA.
If you don’t want to be a part of the NFL, don’t ask to try out.

Personally, I think anyone who tries to make an NFL roster has surrendered their ability to return to college. That includes requesting a “try out”.
My personal feelings don’t matter though. The law says they weren’t ever actually a part of the NFL.

Dawgs, if the SEC would have been able to define "professional" as you have in this thread...then maybe the outcome would have been different. But that was the problem...they could not define it even after being asked several times to do so. Too much grey area!
