William and Mary isn’t that special. VA Tech is better.

It’s at least directional

You’ve met / worked with a handful of Emory grads so the entire university is shite?

From a former student, GT has turned into a wokeism factory, even in STEM.

Not really. I mean a big war is brewing but it is far better to be well along before a major war break out versus getting drafted or forced in.....

Only idiot civilians hate the military, must of the guys in it are happy with current leadership. You know, people who don't watch the view or CNN or are dei hires who fly helicopters into airliners.

I have no clue how Emory keeps getting rated so highly in these things. I’ve never met an Emory grad that I’ve been impressed with.
Never heard of it. You mean Embry Riddle?

My wife’s grandfather was an engineering professor at Georgia Tech, and I have a buddy who graduated from there. It’s an excellent school…

No disrespect, but how does personally knowing 2 people who went to ga tech confirm for you that it’s an excellent school ?

Scientifically, it doesn’t. Two people being smart and accomplished, who I know were affiliated with or educated by the school is not an adequate sample size.

I was a STEM major as an undergraduate. The past school rankings I have seen over the years, and what I have heard and read, have given me the general impression that Georgia Tech enjoys a good reputation. But I would be better informed if I had graduated from school there.

Plus, since I had no need or intent to troll Georgia Tech, it’s better to say nice things about a place based on limited information than disparaging things…

What's interesting and I believe is being implied by the feedback they discuss from the hiring managers is that DEI has messed up admissions to a point where top tier candidates who should’ve been accepted to Penn or whatever are ending up at Georgia Tech or Texas and the DEI candidates probably should’ve been at a third tier school and it’s watering down the Ivy League brand.

This.

Additionally I cannot remember the player name. But he went to either UGA or Alabama as a Rhodes Scholar.

But why not? Go to a fun school that has great academics and athletics. The main attraction for smart kids is this:

“Successful Culture that created the environment that progfilth Yankees want to come be a part of and try not to ruin, but will end up ruining anyways”
