Who comes up with these lines? When Florida loses, they lose big and I see no reason why people have this game being as close as it is.
“It’s a rivalry game.”
Shut the frick up. Florida has no OL and a baby shite soft secondary. The Dawgs will dog walk the Gators this weekend.

Vegas is smart. They may know something. I mean..I think Georgia blows us out too. But would layoff that bet.

Since Kirby got to Georgia back in 2016, he’s lost twice and has failed to win by 10+ twice.
The others are by 2 TDs or more.

Yeah I still think this team is soft.

Does Georgia really have a good offense? They blew out Arkansas and Vandy but that's not a big deal. Neither could stop running water. They lead in average scoring per game but that's inflated by a combined 133 points against Tenn State and WKU. Yeah, they put up 41 on OU but 14 of those points were basically defensive TD's.
Mike Bobo is an average OC.
There are simply no dominant teams in SEC or college football and the current UGa team is not like the 22 and 23 versions.
The Gators definitely have a shot if they take of the ball. The margin of error is small these days.

Florida will win the remaining regular season games, win the SECCG, and win the natty!

It will be a close game. Faulkner knows how to scheme against Georgia. Georgia struggles with a mobile quarterback (Lord, please let Florida start Philo). Florida will put up some points.
Kirby has had two weeks to stew over the Auburn loss and plan for Florida. He hates losing, and he hates losing to Florida the most. Also, he hasn't lost two consecutive games in a decade.
I have a feeling Georgia wins, but it will be a game that keeps me on a defibulator right until the end.

If you can play poorly enough to lose to this version of Auburn, you can lose to anyone.

With the obvious exception of the inexplicable loss to Auburn at home, I think Georgia has been better against the spread in 2026 than previous years

I think UGA still leads the SEC in yards per play, so they have gotten a lot of explosive plays. Maybe the vast majority of those were against the awful teams. Maybe not.

that's funny considering his comments after the Auburn loss was "it's just another game". i was surprised to hear him say that.

No such thing as "easy money" when Georgia and Florida get together. I am always subject to be wrong (Just as k my wife), but I will go on record saying Georgia will NOT cover the points.

Yes.

That leaves 27 for the offense. No other team has scored 27 on Oklahoma's defense.

He's better than average. He's not great, but he's better than people give him credit for.

I'm not saying Florida is going to win but I don't think there are any ELITE teams in College Football this year. I think there are 12-16 teams who could beat or lose to anyone. Florida has a path to keep the game close by playing the way they played along their lines similar to the Texas and Ole Miss game.
UGA has had 2 games in a row where they were putting the ball on the turf and turning the ball over. I think its more likely its a close game going into the 4th quarter than UGA just outright dominating the game.

After losing to Auburn at home with a 14 point lead in the 1st quarter I have diminishing faith in the rest of the season. UGA could go 11-1 or 8-4 with fla, OM, and Mizzou coming up. Who knows? fla has shown they can play ball as well as anyone. The SEC is a hot mess right now. Parity is wreaking havoc across the nation. This is going to be a wild season with plenty of more upsets every week. Nobody goes 12-0 this year.

Florida can run the ball, assuming Baugh is healthy. If there’s one place where UGA is vulnerable, it might be that. Hell we were able to run on them for fricks sake.
When we played the gators, I thought Baugh was the best running back. I’ve seen in a long while.

27-16 UGA. Way closer than that with the game tied or Florida up by a couple of FGs at the half. Then the boa constrictor from Athens takes over and chokes the life out of Florida.
That said UGA has issues. Turning the ball over like they have the last 2 games, or trying to against Alabama, would make that score more like 30-27 UF.
UGA has been better on preventing 3rd down conversions against SEC teams at 34.9% compared to UF at 47.5%. Combined with a offensive 3rd down conversion rate at 52.2% UGA and 45.2% UF that is pretty much an extra possession for UGA - in a close game that is pretty much the same thing as a turnover minus the momentum swing. UGA gets off the field and stays on the field slightly more than Florida on third down. To be honest I would have bet UGA was worse than that - it seems like teams have been able to convert 3rd downs A LOT against UGA with the troubles UGA has against mobile QBs.
If UGA turns the ball over twice the game will be close and Florida probably wins. If UGA does not OR does but gets a couple of turnovers UGA wins and almost covers but the game will be closer than the score looks.

That's not exactly what he said, he said something along the lines of he wasn't as concerned about the outcome as the performance, which is what he says almost always - he has said many times he isn't concerned with wins and losses as much as how the team performs on every play - with the idea that if you win more plays than your opponent the Ws and Ls will take of themselves. UGA did not win more plays against Auburn and the Ls took care of themselves. UGA specifically lost 3 plays in catastrophic fashion, turnovers. Auburn had a hand in all 3 including the fumble where Stockton loses the ball by smacking the center in the head.. Had the center moved his block 3 inches further or Auburn not been 3 inches closer making Stockton twitch at just the right moment that fumble probably doesn't happen and most likely the game goes into OT or UGA wins in regulation. That is not an excuse....Auburn won those plays and won the game - that is how football works, every play except for PATs is an opportunity for both teams to score a TD. PATs are an opportunity for each team to either score 1 point or 2. When that doesn't happen, and it does not about 95% of the time, each play is a failure and the team that fails the least usually wins. One play at a time and every play matters.

That loss will irritate Kirby until he gets a shot at redemption next year.
If you don't think losing eats at him, you don't know Kirby.

Not a typical game for us. Kudos to Auburn for what they were able to do, though.
