Why does that make people uncomfortable?

Because, like believe all women, accusations don't equate to guilt. In modern America, we treat victimhood as currency. So what makes you think people won't then use it fraudulently?

Those of you who think these social media statements from coaches are meaningless ... here’s evidence that they aren’t.

Regardless of what you, I, or anyone else thinks, these kids want to feel like they’re being heard.

Or, this could just be defamation.

If she has serious accusations, she needs evidence. Otherwise, she needs to sit down and shut up.

Part of the problem is that the word racist is used too liberally. It really is a horrible accusation that is just thrown around like any other word.

Nice handle.

It is.

The result is that the word is losing meaning with part of the country, and the other part uses it as a hammer to shut down anyone they don't like.

If it were, the University and coaches have legal actions it could take (see: Mizzou vs USC drama).

I doubt it’s defamation. The university’s lack of response is telling.

If this lady is in college gymnastics, then she has likely been in it her whole life from a very young age. It's not too far fetched to assume a great majority of her whole life has been surrounded by white females, and also ran around with them as her "clique". That said, her social identity and exposure over many years to her environment made her blend in more seamlessly as to make her race a non-issue. I doubt, with relative certainty, that she experienced any true racial hardship at UF.

I don't think this is about the university, it is specifically about the gymnastics team and coach. The university, athletic department and other coaches released statements several days ago.

I applaud UF for not being suckered into some faux black rage. UF not doing anything is doing the right thing. Where's your outrage for the whites who have been murdered by black cops or black thugs killing white cops ? Here's your attention.

Really?

That's not possible for her, she can only call out the Racists that she has dealt with, in this case the UF Gymnastics Program specifically her teammates, and it sounds like a Coach or Staff member pressured her to stay silent or cover up for the bad actors

She can't call out ALL racists, she can only call out the racism that she has dealt with

UF has not been silent. Everyone from the president on down has spoken on the issue.

LINK

The gymnastics head coach Jenny Rowland has retweeted 2 tweets of support from Black Live Matter, and Nike.

Her deal is that she has gone into acting and is trying to get some notoriety. Now UF will be forced to do an internal investigation. It's so stupid.

She is feeling guilty now for not being black enough and has to make up for it.
