Well sure. Call out the racists. But, call them ALL out...even the ones who aren’t melanin deficient. The room is a lot more crowded than people want to believe it is.

I wasn’t talking about you. I was talking about how people get suspiciously upset about this young lady calling out racism. Why does that make people uncomfortable?

I think we agree but for different reasons.

When I mute my microphone, my speech isn't heard.

When I "hit the mute button", I don't hear anyone else.

I absolutely believe that she was probably made to feel uncomfortable at some point due to her race, but my bet is it was probably a few isolated incidences from a very small group. To throw the entire program and university under the bus is completely disrespectful to all the other teammates, coaches, and fans that treated her with nothing but respect, kindness, and humanity.

Wow. Who would have thought that Florida was the racist school in our conference

You know, I'll bet George Floyd's family is deeply wounded by the appalling silence of the University of Florida gymnastics team. Because everyone knows that real healing can't begin until we hear from a minor college sport's coach 1,500 miles away.

I mean Florida is pretty liberal overall. I highly doubt this, but if it is true heads would roll quickly I'd suspect.

Kytra Hunter, another highly accomplished former UF gymnast, agreed with her.

A number of people in the UF admin, coaches and players have spoken out including, although as far as I know nothing from UF gymnastics specifically. I would hope if there’s truth to this, action is taken.

Those of you who think these social media statements from coaches are meaningless ... here’s evidence that they aren’t.

They aren't meaningless. Coaches are highly visible members of the community. They have every right to use their influence.
Some folks use their wealth to influence our country, society, welfare and future. Of course, often times it's self serving to enrich themselves or gain an advantage rather than the good of society.

She would get more support for her cause if she would post Spring Break pictures of her and her allegedly racist teammates

Anything she says is useless without pics of her and her allegedly racist teammates in Uniform

Sad thing is....ignorant people will ignore it because it doesn't affect them
