Our insiders are saying that Stoops is the #1 candidate and he's listening according to Bull Gators.

Good move for FL and Stoops IMO. It seems he may be getting stale at OU. However, I think he will probably stay at OU. It's 1 of a handful of schools that can match a FL offer and is a more historically high profile HC job.

Big Game Bob @ Florida?

The rest of the SEC likes this.

Stoops needs to get out of OU. They both need a change of scenery.

I hope not. Maybe Foley decides to hire Ted Roof.

just because you're tired of seeing him there doesn't mean oklahoma fans are.

As an Auburn fan, it would suck but he deserves the opportunity.

I guess this fits the "Same Team As Before" hint that Cowherd gave yesterday. Stoops goes back to the school where he made his name under Spurrier. Also, he gets to play his old mentor every year.

Thanks for the update. Ark and State both want to keep our coaches, so there are a LOT of us who will rest easier if that works out for FL.

Pressure at Florida >>>> Oklahoma. Easier to make BCS NC at Oklahoma than Florida as well.

Cowherd can make a handful of coaches fit his acronym, depending on who Florida hires. Win for him regarding ratings.

Could it be "Same Town As Before"? Aren't Stoops and Meyer both from Youngstown?

I don't think it's Stoops. It's a lateral move and unless he just wants a change of scenery I don't think it happens.
