Was this post made in 2002, 2004, or 2010?

Maybe Foley decides to hire Ted Roof.
I hope Foley isn't savvy enough to make this move. We want Roof at AU for the long haul.

Mullen is in the mix still- dont be fooled

Foley isnt happy that Mullen didnt immediately say he would take it if offered- he told Foley to let him speak with State about some things and then he would let him know...havent heard yet about what Mullen and State are negotiating on- but i think its stadium enlargement and asst coaching salaries

That's when the "Fla wants to get away from the Spread" rumors hit to save a little face

However, I think he will probably stay at OU

Pressure at Florida >>>> Oklahoma. Easier to make BCS NC at Oklahoma than Florida as well.

This. Can't imagine why Stoops would jump to Florida when he's already got it made in the shade at OU.

Why would Stoops stay at OU? The Big 12 is rapidly deteriorating

Foley spoke to Mullen's agent before Meyer's resignation became public

yep- thats pretty close..Mullen will sacrifice some of his own base to make sure the assts get paid though

Mullen is actually going to choose staying at State over going to Fla it appears. It's rare in this day and age someone would do that- but I'm hearing Mullen wants to be known as the best at State as opposed to following Spurrier and Meyer at Fla. State just has to give him what he wants.

Fla was far from a bigtime program before Spurrier changed it- I'm excited to see what Mullen can do for State

Seems most people are saying Mullen is likely a fallback option if some other things don't happen. I don't think Mullen is as popular in Florida as some people are led to believe.

There is nothing for Mullen to say "no" to, he has not and likely won't be offered the job.

It's called "spin"- it's not good press nor good for your Fla ego when the coach at Miss State tells you if State meets his demands, he is going to stay in Starkville.

I love state fans, when UF doesn't offer it's because he "wants to stay at state". Haha.

You do realize you are the only one delusional enough to believe this, right?

I'm just telling you what has happened.

And answer this:

Do you honestly think Jeremy Foley would admit to the press that he offered the job to Mullen, but he decided to stay at State? How do think that would make Fla look?
