The sad thing is I don't think it's his actual base offense that's the issue. It's mainly his extremely predictable playcalling and complete inability to get the plays in with enough time to do things like make adjustments or run a hurry up offense. I was going out of my mind yesterday when we were down 18 w/13 minutes left and are guys were just putting along like it was still the first quarter in a 0-0 game.

That 2020 season was fools gold. Look at the teams WL record was 46-47. Also a Covid year when many players were out as well.

Wasn’t there a game that year where both Alabama and Florida missed PATs late?

Saban and Jimbo on the sideline together, eating Alabama’s defense alive

It’s my duty to remind everyone that Mike Dubose has a more recent SEC title than Tennessee. And Alabama fired him 22 years ago.

Congrats...

We still shutdown that team and cost SU. Alexander his Heisman so I'm not worried about this joke.

Yea but we can still laugh because it's Aggie. For the record I wasn't one of those LSU fans who wanted Jimbo. I didn't like his offense 20 years ago at LSU.

a trigger warning would've been nice...THAT mfer...

My second daughter was born 2 days before that '96 game. I am still reminded frequently that I missed her trip home from the hospital that Saturday afternoon as I was drunk off my arse in the SEZ about to watch Alexander break off 297 yards in our arse. To this day, my daughter will call me Shawn to piss me off.

Yes but they jumped offside when we missed ours and we got a do over.

And then we held Alexander in check and still lost 34-7 in the rematch.

The best thing A&m could do is go hire a really good g5 coach who does more with less and consistently puts out good offenses.
Texas has gone that route two times in a row. The first one didn't work. Jury is still out on the second one, but he's under .500 almost 1 1/2 seasons in.

The boosters at Alabama put a ton of pressure on Alabama to hire DuBose one of Bear's boys. Claimed he was an elite DC and must have the job. They were all 100% behind DuBose

Some boosters did, trust me, not all. Not one single fan I know wanted DuBose. Stallings was very instrumental in the DuBose hire as a middle finger to Sorenson. DuBose didn't have near the support behind him that Jimbo did.

Claimed he was elite DC...had the worst defense the one year he was Stallings DC in Stallings tenure. Many Bama fans wanted him removed as DC much less named as HC.

This hire and DuBose isn't remotely close.

And then didn't play a snap in the loss the next week to Ms State because Stallings didn't think he practiced hard enough.

I'll never forget Alexander's coming out party in Tiger Stadium my freshman year. Brutal.
