We can all play the woulda, coulda, shoulda game. Beat Alabama in the SECCG and this is all moot.

UGA wins 29 in a row, loses one game and their dipshit fanbase thinks it’s because of a conspiracy. If that isn’t the definition of snobby and entitled, I don’t know what is.

But what else would you expect from a blue state full of metro fagboyz and purple haired carpet munchers.

You don't know much about GA if you think that is representative of any part of the state outside of I-285.

Sheridan, like College Football Hall of Famer Steve Spurrier, questioned how a Georgia team that had been ranked No. 1 throughout the season could suffer such a dramatic fall in the rankings after a close, 3-point loss

While there is no denying that UGA is as talented as anyone and I can't argue they would be favored against everyone, even against Bama in a rematch, there is plenty of evidence over the years to suggest Danny Sheridan has zero credibility.

Is it not the 4 best teams?

That's the bullshite rub of having a committee decide what the word best means and what criteria each person wants to use to prove their case.

Georgia would've been favored over Alabama (-3).

This year's CFP has been a fluke, a devious concocted setup in order to break the SEC and keep Georgia from winning an unprecedented (and thus further cementing the SEC's dominance in college football) third national title in-a-row. Plain and simple.

Yet Alabama beat Georgia, even though Georgia was favored. Washington beat Texas even though Texas was favored. That is why they play the games.

I don't doubt at all that Georgia would be favored and would be capable of beating everyone in the playoffs on a given day. But that doesn't change the fact that UGA didn't earn the right to be there by losing to Alabama.

This. I ain't sure if UGA and Alabama played 10 times that Alabama dont win 10 times BUT I think UGA could just as easily win 10 times. None of that matters. What matters is UGA lost the one time they did play and given the state of college football they lost their shot. The story line is ALL that matters. It is an entire industry or talk shows and TV shows and websites and what happens on the field is secondary to what will create discussion. UGA knew the rules...hell, we profited from them in 2021 after getting BLOWN out by Alabama...but anyone who thinks what happens on the field is the most important thing is just blind.

that's a pretty retarded take. There was nothing done with the intention to stick it to UGA.

Not Georgia but there was less controversy and less fodder for discussion if UGA was in....because UGA winning is boring as hell. Getting Texas in is fricking exciting for CFB. Getting Washington is also, for some inconceivable reason. And now that there is not a SEC team in the final? Forget about it...the airwaves and the internet is abuzz about the decline of the SEC. ANyone who watches the season progress subjectively knows that UGA was one of the four if not the best team in the country all season long including now. It does not matter...what matters is what creates discussion and UGA or anyone else winning all the time is just boring as hell for everyone but that fan base....and to be honest I hear more about Georgia from Georgia people than I do about winning....its just the nature of the game today...its all about the storyline and when they can tinker with they will and they could and did.

Step 1: Bama has to be in if you put UGA in, same record, H2H win Step 2: With Bama in, UT ALSO has to be in for the same reason Now you have THREE undefeated P5 champions you have to decide from and you'd have to leave out two of them. That aint happening.

This is it. Everyone can go home now and shut the frick up.

Georgia was the best team. Lost the biggest game at the wrong time. UT beating Bama and winning Big12 with 2 undefeated power champs kept Georgia out.

End of story. Everyone can move on with their lives now.

This is why they play the actual games on the field. A lot of teams look good on paper.
