I don't think anyone knows how good Ridley is considering he never had anything remotely close to an NFL-level QB in college. Once you have a QB who can put the ball in the right spot, everything changes as a receiver. All the sudden you start making circus catches and eye-popping plays.

I don't think he'll ever be as good as Julio, but he could definitely be on the Amari Cooper level, or better.

Of course he is, and just think, he's had that shitty Hurts throwing to him.

Not elite athleticism but he has elite quickness and body control. Also pretty good when it comes to speed.

You make a good point about no one really knowing considering he hasn’t had an NFL arm throwing to him except when Tua was in the game. Also, I’m the first to admit that NFL scouts know way more than I do and they are very high on him.

However, in his time at Alabama I didn’t see anything to suggest that he has juice like Amari Cooper. Maybe being a precision route runner and having NFL hands and straight-line speed is enough to have a very productive NFL career. I hope so. But I don’t think we are ever going to describe him as electric or even a #1 WR. Just my probably-wrong opinion.

Yep - his skillset is an almost perfect fit to be the 2nd guy to an elite WR. He will dominate 2nd corners and slot backs in 1 on 1s and, like previous Alabama WRs, he blocks his arse off.

I'm really excited to see what he can do assuming Julio's thing gets fixed and Sark doesn't Sark.

I get sick every time I see stuff like this.

I sat in Jordan hare last year and watched him beat his coverage time after time after time and watch hurts roll out and throw it away. To the point Ridley got in his face on one 3 and out on the sideline.

3 times, THREE, he beat his man on the same play we beat Georgia on. The step inside and back out on the go. Once, he was literally 10 yards behind the db and just stood in the end zone with hands on hips in disgust. Twice hurts threw short and incomplete and once he ran out of bounds. We could have scored 35 points, or more, on those fkers.

I'm not surprised at all he's doing well. None.

For anyone that thinks naming Tua the starter could divide the team, remember this.

Who is Calvin Ridley?

Don’t remember him playing in the Iron Bowl. I’m sure he’s a solid player though.

Too bad he went from a team with a poor throwing QB to another team with a bad throwing Matt Ryan!

And here I was thinking he was going to say something bad about a teammate.

I generally agree, but Ridley will be a really good NFL WR IMO, so the hype is probably warranted.
