If Bama were put in the East they'd play TN every year and Auburn as the cross-divisional. But AU/UGA would be lost...as LSU/BAMA which has been great since 2007.

Bama is almost as far west as State. Auburn would move, they would be in the East with UGA so you wouldn't lose that one. If it happened we would definitely go to two cross division rivals IMO. Of course, if we pick up more west schools like Texas and OU then this doesn't matter because both Bama and Auburn move to the East. Bama would probably pick us up as a cross and LSU would pick up Ole Miss. We don't have a rivalry with Bama in football but we've still played each other more times than any other team.

The closest thing LSU really has to a rivalry is ULL or Tulane in baseball. There is a lot of hate in those matchups.

12 years ago, Bama-UT was the nastiest rivalry in college football. It may have lost some luster, but it's far from fake.

I have high hopes for it. Both schools love basketball, both schools hate someone lurking in the Big 12, and both schools have a noted aversion to ever sharing a conference with Texas again.
Give it a decade to get some good refreshing hatred built up on both sides.

I'm not sure about USCe/UGA rivalry. But the USCe/toothpaste rivalry is the real deal.
