Trent was fricking incredible in college. He's a cyborg. The exact opposite of marshmallow soft Ingram.

Kills me. If the Saints were going to end up with a Bama RB why can't it be the athletic freak.

Why are you still posting on a message board if "you can tell by watching if a player has what it takes to be a star"? Shouldn't you be a pro scout somewhere?

If I was a pro scout, I would have been wrong about Trent.

And it is much easier to spot people who are not stars, than to spot people who will be. I'm not claiming to know that much, just that trent wont live up to expctations. And again, I could be wrong, but dont think I am.

And I do study analytics for a living, although I'm not sure that the writer of that article does. I didn't read the whole thing though,so maybe he isnt a no name nfl writer and studies yardage analytics for an nfl team and makes that information public.

lulz at the "Ingram had an above average year" comment earlier in this thread.

Few backs in the league that do their damage north/south like Ingram does get stood up and pushed back by safeties the way Ingram routinely and consistently does.

I really, really thought he'd be a dynamic back at this level, too. Head scratcher for sure. You can tell he's a good kid whose hungry to be a good player. Just doesn't seem to have it in him. At least not up to this point in his career.

Warmack played every offensive snap for the Titans this year.

Mingo played just 58% of his teams defensive snaps.

quote:

Mingo ranked 60th in the league last year among all 4-3 ends and 3-4 outside linebackers rushing the quarterback.

He also only graded out positively in 4 of the 15 games he played.

Well, if I wasn't convinced before, that totally legitimate looking graph sure does tell the story of how warmack>mingo in their rookie campaigns.

4.9 ypc, 386 yards, 1 TD

Color me impressed.

He was hurt a lot of the season. Didn't get a lot of carries. It was obvious from the moment he came back that he had changed his running style.

Ingram looked great at times this year. Tore up the Cowboys, was huge in the playoff win at Philly.

And then he puts the ball on the ground in a critical spot @ Seattle and made me remember why I hated him

At least as good as Andre Smith if that is the bar for success.

Correct me if i am Wrong, but don't the Jets man up on the outside (regis island and whatnot) Isn't that what the CB's do in Bama?

It had just magically changed He comes in fat as frick every year and we couldn't trade him if we tried. If this is the season he finally gets his shite together, I'll be glad to get at least one productive year out of him. For every good run he has.. he generates negative momentum on another. Dude is fricking terrible in the NFL thus far and that is inarguable.

His first two years? Sure. I even said, here on the SECr and on TD, that I had given up on Ingram. But then he came back and played hard. Money year for Ingram, we'll see how he does in what is hopefully an expanded role.

Dee isn't in a bad system, he was just a rookie who missed some camp at the toughest position to transition to from college to NFL. He finished extremely strong, this is well documented.

Andre Smith is one of the best, if not the best, RT in the game. Could he play LT effectively? No, but he's working out well at RT. Same situation as Fluker. Elite RTs, average at best at LT.

Barkevious Mingo has done as well as Andre Smith,

1. No one was comparing Reid to Barron.
2. The fact that you think a player without a position that played less than 50% of snaps his rookie year and only graded out positively in 4/15 games has "done as well" as one of the best right tackles in football lets the rest of is know how valuable your opinion is.
