I was born and LSU Tiger and I will die an LSU Tiger. It is "we". I played in college against LSU Tigers and I still considered LSU as "We". If I ever heard my son refer to LSU as them, I'd kiss his arse. But he will never do that because he was born an LSU Tiger and will always be one. End of frickin story. Have a nice day.

I give my money to the grocery store every week too. I don't refer to Publix as "we"...

People are such dumbasses about this.

I suppose it would be better if we all said, "the team that I cheer for and am affiliated with is going to beat the team that you cheer for and are affiliated with."

I will always say "we". I still don't understand what the issue is.

Technically, yes. Are "you" going to beat somebody when you say "we"? No, you aren't going to do shite.

i can't stand the attitude of superiority some fans have about the semantics of using "we". As a child of Louisiana ex-patriots I grew up preaching the faith of LSU football (and the Saints for that matter) to the unconverted masses in Texas and Georgia during times when it was not easy to have faith in our program. Absolutely I refer to LSU as "we". College football would not be what it is without people losing themselves in something so pedestrian as football every Saturday in the fall. I would ask the question does having never served in the Armed services or played on an olympic team prevent anyone from saying that they are an American? I don't think that an answer that involves the payment of taxes will hold water as there is a huge expense in purchasing tickets and merchandise in support of your favorite team.

I, for one, can totally understand why an Ole Miss fan would want to distance his or herself from the Rebears.

How did this shite go 7 pages?

For the record... "We just beat the hell out of you".

If a person's retort is about you saying "we", they have nothing better to say.

Whether or not someone refers to their team as "we" has no affect on me whatsoever, and I couldn't give two shits about it.

Yeah, but do you root for Publix to beat Kroger or Trader Joe's or whatever?
