Wrong, On wanting qb who will " win you games". That is also the qb who will " lose games". I will take our 2 seasoned qbs right now over any other qb minus Drew Brees or that guy from Baylor. Ask Bama and ask US what type of Qb wins national Championships. That would be seasoned game managers. Tebowesque to a degree.
Quit your whining and bitching. This is the best LSU team I have ever seen. Far and away. I will take JJ and JL. These guys are winners.
I am excited about Tigers next year but for now WE have the best LSU team ever and who is to say that would be the case without JJ and JL.
I also like the original architecture / Roman Coliseum look. I suppose all the window dressing was inevitable. Razorback fans saying anything negative about Tiger stadium is ludicrous. War Memorial is the worst stadium in division 2 football. Bentonville's stadium is much nicer.
I was at the game, as was most of my family. My sister who sits at different part of stadium stated that it was so loud during the punt return that it was almost quiet. Kind of like a white noise, surreal moment. I agree. A new acquaintance in the south end zone looked at me after the return and stated that he had never seen someone so happy.
What people want to watch doesnt mean crap. This is to find out who the best team is in the country. Sure, I'm a lifelong football LSU / SEC fanatic and I love a hard nosed , well played defensive battle. Especially when it is two great teams playing. That doesnt mean crap either. It is about the two best teams playing. Period.
Im with you wryder. Well said. Give em some more.

Coach David Lee told me a story about being in the tunnel with his team, during the Fourcade years I believe, and an LSU fan was drunk and hanging on the fence cussing at the Ole Miss players. Coach Lee, normally very mild mannered, jumped up and knocked out the LSU fan. Those were back in the good old days that if you got what was coming to you , it was expected and accepted.

It was 1966 or 67 when we were playing Ole Miss. I was 6 or 7 and I remember watching Ole Miss come out of their tunnel and LSU fans were leaning over the tunnel and spitting on the Ole Miss players. That's when I knew that Ole Miss was EVIL INCARNATE. I remember many of our great games against them. I hated and feared Archie Who. Then I loved him as the Saints QB.
I went to the CAnnon Halloween game in utero.

GEAUX TO HELL , OLE MISS, GEAUX TO HELL.

Iremember non LSU , non Ole Miss fans asking me why did we say GTH OM GTH at games when we weren't even playing Ole Miss. I'd just tell em that it just seemed like the right thing to do.

Our defense was a little flat at first. But, WKU has a decent QB and a really good tailback and a good tight end. They mixed up their offense really well at first and Chavis was determined to try and beat em without blitzing. However, from the end of the first half to the end of the game we brought blitzers off the edges. Often would bring the HB and Brooks at the same time. We completely shut em down from that point. Our D also made an excellent goal line stand and stopped a 250 pound FB.

It was a good practice. It showed our coaches some more potential areas to work on in our team.

It is the most offensive yards we have gained all seaon even though it did seem out of rhythm or some kind of funky rhythm.

We held the nations 4th leading rusher to less than 90 yards.

Guards , especially Hickey (sp?) need to stop the penetration dribble. Liked watching this team with potential.
I'm with you Tiger Paul. Thanks for trying to halt the pussification of the Tiger fan base. Good luck with that!
post of the year. Thanks for posting real facts and not being a whiny naysaying bitch like alot of the other posters.

Sissy arse naysayers.

yesterday I had a post deleted calling out the naysayers.

Enough already.

We will beat Ole Miss and Arky.

WKU had a good balanced game plan at first. We finally started blitzing from the edges and then shut them down.

So what.

Quit with the naysaying, you chicken littles.
Georgia hasn't beaten anyone. They have had the easy schedule overall in the SEC by FAR. We will put pressure on Murray and we will win by 10-14 points at least. They have played no one as good as LSU. They got beat squarely by Boise. They struggled to beat VAndy. They struggled to beat Florida.

Georgia's D is good but they are not at the same level as LSU or Bama.

Auburn's D backs are frankly bad. They do not play the receiver or the ball well. All Murray did was throw to the back side with recevier turning and DB's technique was poor. Try that to much against our corners and we will be taking some TD back theh other way.

Georgia will be a worthy opponet but quit with the chicken shite naysaying. Pussies.
Bama had schemed for JL very well. They had great coverage on the receivers. Even if Lee had more time and not panicked, the coverage on the interceptions was still there. Coach Miles absolutely made the right call and I am glad he didn't waste any time doing it. BAma was ready for LEE. If we couldn't run it down their throats, then Lee had NO CHANCE.

I'm glad Bama wasn't prepared to stop the option. And JJ ran the option very well , as did Ford.

We are going to need both of these qbs. IF Arky wants to bring more rushers and sacrifice pass D then either LEe will throw quick and successful or JJ will run all over em and pass when needed.
3 out of the last 4. We won 4 in a row just prior to that. We beat them more often than they beat us.
I dont think they thought college life as elitist. They are Aussies and not Brits. They are interested in sports, women, and beer. They would fit in fine in the end zones at LSU.
LSU has great cover corners. Simon is like glue. TM7 has mad ball skills. I hope the OP realizes that we have big corners who are great at coverage, MC and Simon. Our safeties are the best in college football. I would take Reid and Taylor. Also I can't wait for some of the crossing patterns against our D. We will tee off on em just like Bama did.

BTW, Our defense gave up less yards on the ground than BAma gave to us. Significantly less.
For you younger guys, it was a combo of Emmert, Saban, Bertman who all had foresight in building LSU to the level it is. They did away with the good old boy control of money and power and built this thing. Saban was very instrumental in this regard. None of this would have happened without Emmert. It is much more than Emmert hiring Saban. It was a president who knew that money had to be spent and that facilities had to become top notch.

Also just as impressive is the fact that Coach Miles has maintained and even improved the whole deal. Yes, it is very difficult to follow a legend and then become a legend yourself. I expect that Mr. Alleva is also not of the good old boy mold and understands this is big business.
The Miles hire was a great hire. Yall know I have been a big supporter of his from the beginning. So many people have said such good things about his coaching skill and managerial skill from the beginning.

Thank God for LSU. I mean that literally.
