Pope is putting together a nice squad with portal additions the last few days. Another one or two pieces and he could have a pretty legit squad.
The best thing is most of those guys on the depth chart have multiple years of eligibility, so what he's bringing in for next season will provide a solid foundation for the next couple of years.

I think Texas will be one of the top 8 teams next season, honestly. Sean Miller has kept a bunch of guys from leaving and we are finally getting some length in the portal.
Got the AAC FPOY from FAU that is 7' Matas Vokietaitis. Also Dailyn Swain from Xavier, 6'8". Camden Heide from Purdue. We'll probably have the best length we've had in a long time. Vokietaitis is physical guy from his highlights and should translate well to the SEC. Weaver is returning. I think Miller will get a lot more from Pope since he is returning too and so is Mark.

Five returning as far as we know.
Three top freshmen so far
Four portal pickups that look really good
One more piece. Who will it be?
Look to be a much better defensive team with better rim protection.

Need a solid shooting guard.

Kublickas will be starting at Campbell next year I think.

Hopefully in the top 25 I feel like that is a reasonable goal with Tre headed to the NBA

Alabama seems to have a good group staying and add Wrightsell and Mallette who were both out injured this year.
However, the final portal additions and NBA decision for Philon will likely decide whether they're Top25 or Top10.

Could easily see Chandler developing into a reliable outside shooter.
His improvement through the season was encouraging.

Y’all have a good talent evaluator for a coach.
I You just reload as soon as they leave.

According to ESPN yours barely in the top 25 for next year. This is mostly because of Clayton which will absolutely be tough to lose. They seem to thin Condon is gone too.
LINK
How will the Gators follow an incredible season? It could depend on how Todd Golden rebuilds the perimeter. Walter Clayton Jr. is obviously the major departure, but Will Richard and Alijah Martin are also out the door. And what about Alex Condon? He's a borderline first-round draft pick and could test the waters. Thomas Haugh is a breakout candidate next season, and Rueben Chinyelu is also back down low. Expect a much different projected lineup in the next update of these rankings.
Projected starting lineup
Denzel Aberdeen (7.9 PPG)
Urban Klavzar (3.2 PPG)
Cornelius Ingram Jr. (No. 26 in ESPN 100) Thomas Haugh (9.8 PPG)
Rueben Chinyelu (6.1 PPG))

As I understand it, most of our decent players are going elsewhere.

Out: Terry
In: Miler
That’s a W, but no idea if we’ll be any good this year.. We’ll likely finish in the 4th - 10th and make the tourney most years, but we’re not gonna play for any titles anytime soon..
We’d be better if Beard was still here.

Currently #1 not that it makes a difference as long as we are hosting once regionals roll around.
Next year IDK weve been pretty constant in the top ten in the nation every year. Im glad because it would suck if we were so bad that we had to talk about other sport almost a year away in the middle of bball season

We really don't know much yet. Thiero, Aidoo, Fland, Nelly and Z are all gone. Two McDonald's AA are coming in for the backcourt, a 6'9 overseas guy for the frontcourt and we could still add Ament. Lots of rumors about frontcourt transfers and we're really thin there right now. Brazile, DJ, Knox and Richmond all may be back, but I don't think any have declared it yet.

Arkansas will be terrible as our coach is surely all washed up because UK fans say so.
We probably only kick that blue a$$ by 30 next year in BWA and go as far against better teams in the dance (assuming we don’t win it all).
I’m sure we will still get plenty of oversight from our knowledgeable friends in Lexington though.
89-79 had to really really hurt.

so can CBM.
He's more or a leader than folks think in practice. He is a free spirit, and he clowns around a lot, but he leads some of the stretches and hustles. There's more to CBM than just a hot-head who talks trash and gets caught retaliating.
I saw where one way too early prediction put us at #3. That's laughable. It's a rebuilding year for us. I just hope we can set down a foundation for the following year and get into the NCAAT.

That article lists Ja'Heim Hudson coming back for us. Not happening. Turtle is out of eligibility. Maybe they have him confused with Jahki Howard, who was a freshman this year. He has potential, but who knows where he will play this coming season.
