Saw him play in person in SECCG, not impressed. For the record, Milroe is not number 4 either. Give me a healthy Cam Rising over anybody.

That was probably one of his worst performances of the year. He still completed 72% of his passes and had 8.4 yards per pass attempt in a bad game. He averaged 9.5 yards per pass attempt last season though, so it was an off day.

The reality of Beck is that he's incredibly accurate, gets lots of yardage, doesn't get sacked much, throws few interceptions and is basically hugely productive without drawing a whole lot of attention.

Most people don't even realize he passed for nearly 4,000 yards last season. His worst completion percentage for a game was 65%. He led the SEC in passing yards (yes LSU fans, this is due to Daniels not playing in the SECCG and sitting out the bowl game). He's incredibly productive but not flashy at all. That is not a bad thing to have at QB.

Just as an FYI who don't realize where Beck ended last season statistically.

He was 3rd in the nation in passing yards. Both guys ahead of him aren't returning next season (Nix and Penix).

He was 4th in completion percentage.

8th in passing efficiency.

7th in yards per pass attempt.

6th in total offense (yes, despite not being a runner he did net positive rush yards).

Despite dropping back to pass over 400 times, Beck was sacked just 11 times. UGA as a team allowed 13 sacks last year, which was 7th in the nation. The only two teams who played in meaningful games who were better were Oregon and Washington.

As I said, Beck didn't seem like he was great to most people watching last season. He just quietly kept producing all season long.

No disrespect to anyone on that list, but that's weak as hell as a top 10 in all of CFB.

Sounds like every other Alabama QB playing behind the best OLs.

Oh wait.

6th in total offense (yes, despite not being a runner he did net positive rush yards).

Fact check
1 Jayden Daniels LSU Sr. QB 12 462 4946 412.2
2 Bo Nix Oregon Sr. QB 14 524 4742 338.7
3 Drake Maye North Carolina So. QB 12 537 4057 338.1
4 Dillon Gabriel Oklahoma Sr. QB 12 477 4033 336.1
5 Michael Penix Jr. Washington Sr. QB 15 590 4911 327.4
6 Cameron Ward Washington St. Jr. QB 12 605 3880 323.3
7 Seth Henigan Memphis Jr. QB 13 570 4157 319.8
8 Byrum Brown South Fla. So. QB 13 630 4101 315.5
9 Caleb Williams Southern California Jr. QB 12 485 3775 314.6
10 E.J. Warner Temple So. QB 10 469 3083 308.3

That was a lie

7th in yards per pass attempt.
Fact check correct

8th in passing efficiency.
Fact check correct

He was 4th in completion percentage.
Fact check correct

He was 3rd in the nation in passing yards

Fact check correct

I mean the outrageous lie on one doesn’t disqualify the rest I guess

But passing yards per game? 16th. Odd, oh wait an extra game and soft schedule does that. Completion’s per game? 25th. Again soft schedule extra game. Points responsible for, that should put him up there… not top 25?
Sauce ncaa stats

4 to 1 TD to Int. Average. 1.9 rushing. Below average. So a competent QB on a talented team with an extra game and a weak schedule?

Build the statue, print the cups.

Looks like a really weak class of QBs to be honest.

"butthurt"? BVG will be butthurt on Sept 14, when UGA shows up for our annual prison raping of the the cats, and bends him and your blue boys over the table and breaks one off in them the size of John Holmes.

I predict Milroe doesn't finish on this list because he doesn't start.

Not sure how Milroe isn’t ahead of Beck since he beat him head to head and Beck had the much better defense. But hey, that game looked like it was thrown anyway…so there is that.

Great kid, great athlete! He’s just not a D1 Qb. He can run fast and throw the ball real far, but so can a lot of people. Hope he does well but he is limited in what he can do in the SEC.

Who actually told you this? Gabriel sure made your team of 5 stars look like scrubs last year.
