2 come to mind.
'99 Bama vs. Florida at the swamp. Even though we went on to the SECCG, at that time we thought we sucked.

Boise St v Georgia?

Boise was favored numbnuts.

1997 UGA/UF. Georgia was 20 point underdogs and ended up winning by 20, 37-17.

Biggest I can remember in terms of SEC teams may be LSU beating UF in the late 90's.

AU beat UF as a big dog in 1993 and 2000 or 2001 also.

It was an epic game considering it went to triple overtime and was a week removed from that hell of a game against florida and UK lost the week before. I can't believe that UK team ended up losing 5 games that season. They had a pretty good QB.

ETA - Kentucky was #17 at the time of the game but obviously after 5 loses weren't in the top 25 at the end of the season.

What about AU-UA 2002? Tre Smith went bananas that day.

There was no reason we should have won that game.

Yes. I think they were ranked near the top ten at one point during the season.

Do you recall the spread for that game?

The big one that comes to mind is 2001 Tennessee vs. Florida. Tennessee at the Swamp, 18 point underdog versus number 2 Florida. The Vols won.
wasn't UT ranked #6? I don't believe they were 18 pt dogs

Probably, I added that they were #17 when they played LSU after losing to USCe the week before.

They were #6 and we were number #8 when we played in 2007.

If I remember correctly.

We were ranked 8th two different times. The week before LSU (going into USCe) and after beating LSU. That game wasn't an "epic" upset I don't think (besides the fact it went to multiple OT's).

Agreed it was an epic game but not an epic upset. Hindsight might make it look like it was because UK ended up losing 5 games and falling out of the top 25 but at the time it was not.

Yea I just looked up the spread. It was LSU -9.5, so not much of an upset really. We were actually favored against Florida that year, which is crazy to think about since it was right in the middle of the Tebow/Meyer heyday.
