I'm not going to read the whole thread but if it hasn't been mentioned, somebody needs to mention Arkansas@Tennessee in 1992.

Arkansas was something like 1-4 and Tennessee was ranked #4. Barrey Lunny was a freshman for Arkansas and that game was his first start at QB. They went into Neyland and beat Tennessee. It was pretty epic.

When did this happen? I do remember Auburn losing to Southern Miss in the early '90s.

The UAB loss was embarrassing,no doubt. But LSU was just 2-1 at the time after two losing seasons and UAB did go 7-4. Bad and embarrassing but honestly I couldn't imagine this really making even the top 20.

KY over LSU in 2007 has to be at least on the first page.
you weren't that big of a dog in that game. Dude hadn't thrown a pick in like 140 attempts.

Kentucky was ranked in the teens. Moved up to 8th after that game. Nice win for them but not a monumental upset, other than to say they defeated number one.

LSU beating Bama in Tuscaloosa in 1993.
That has to be it. When you consider how utterly horrible we were and that we were coached by the worst coach ever to coach a college football game and the fact that UF beat us that year 58-3, Bama just coming off of an NC on their own turf. It's still quite a head scratcher that we were ever in that game, much less WIN it.

Troy St over Missouri not Auburn, my mistake. I don't know why I typed Auburn I guess I gotta quit reading the conference realignment threads so much.

That point spread was absurd. Tennessee was 6th or 7th in the Nation.

Again, I believe Tennessee was number 4.

I do find it very strange the point spread was that high. It's especially strange when you consider that there was another team that year who was much better than Florida. What were there point spreads that year?

BOOM! Yeah this has to be pretty high up there.

As Miles simply put it in an interview, "Alabama seemed to have trouble with Louisiana teams this year."

1997. LSU takes out #1 Florida.

Of course, LSU fans are biased because frick Florida and frick Steve Spurrier.

On paper, there were more impressive upsets.

Should be some mention of LSU vs Ole Miss in 1960. Game was in Oxford, Ole Miss #2 in the nation, LSU record 1-4 having dropped four straight going into the game. This was virtually the same Ole Miss team that had embarrassed LSU's 59 team 21-0 in the Sugar Bowl earlier that year.

Ole Miss kicked a late fg to salvage a 6-6 tie and finished the season 10-0-1.

2001 Alabama 31 Auburn 7

No one in their right mind saw this outcome happening.

Ala was 4-4 going into this game versus an Auburn team in the Top 15 that seemed to be cruising towards Atlanta.

Game opened the door for LSU's first outright SEC Title since '86
