"Another caviat coaches groomed in the SEC taking over programs like Oregon and Indiana."

The word is "caveat." Where was Nick Saban groomed before winning it all at LSU?

Funny thing is this conference craks on Texas but we have actually shown up in the post season. Both cfp loses weee tight games (could have beat wash) and we have won 2 cfp games and our bowl this year.

Non cfp bowls are pretty worthless though given opt outs to compare team strength

The SEC is definitely down. We've lost the coaches who had made us great. I don't see any improvement in the immediate future

I believe it was the Big Ten with Michigan state. Florida’s legendary coach urban Meyer was a coordinator at Notre Dame and Ohio State before he became HC at Bowling Green, then Utah, then Florida and then to OSU.

The SEC is getting manhandled at the LOS. That was once what made it strong.

Wtf happened to the big DT’s that this conference once bred and made it impossible to run on? It’s like they’ve all disappeared.
The big boys who once dealt with the incessant "fat boy!" teasing of their peers by becoming badass linemen in football are now taking Ozempic and getting their toenails did.

While true for the most part, I'd say if the team with twice the number of opt outs handily beats their opponent...that still says something

I think it's the lack of good coaching.

Definitely the biggest issue.

The coaching carousel toward the end of this season pissed me off to no end. Especially when Drinkwitz kept whining about all the things he didn’t have instead of focusing on what he did. Two of our losses were direct results of his refusal to adjust.

Diluted the product with Big12 schools. The first cracks started to show when A&M and Missouri joined. The name doesn't have the same caché and the southern recruits became more distributed.

We didn’t dilute jack but you are definitely deluded. Have you seen your team’s record?

No reasonable person could look at the postseason and not conclude the SEC is down in a big way

We had how many teams in the cfb playoffs?! Gtfo. We're (the sec) still top dog.

I’ve seen a tweet or two that it’s due to everyone beating each other up and being too wore out for the postseason while Miami had practically a bye week every week.

Absolutely atleast from an injury standpoint. 9 game SEC schedule plus winning 4 playoff games in a row to win a natty is absolutely brutal.

"As a conference you dimwit."

You are pumping up the SEC conference after this post-season?

What win are you most proud of? Ole Miss beating UGA? Which SEC playoff team beat another P4 conference team?

What has the conference accomplished in post season play the last 3 years? I don’t have time to do all the math right now but I bet it’s averaging 10+ point loses against real teams.

Oklahoma, with its so-called vaunted D, blew a 17-0 lead against that pathetic Alabama team

I apologize to all the coattail SEC fans for Bama being down this year. We let all of you down.

How is “the SEC down” when you had 2 games that were all-SEC?
B1G only has 1 (tonight).

It means they weren’t both able to lose those nights.

No, but that eliminated the SEC by 2 teams that could have made an all-SEC title game.

This year it guaranteed a B1G member in the title game.
