Paul Finebaum & Kirk Herbstreit still think there's "a path for Bama to get to the Natty" despite a 35 point loss :nana: :rotflmao:
Lol, yeah but the reality is our SEC isn't very good. The top of the conference is, that's it.
It was bad last year too.

It's our fault. The SEC fans boasting about "conference supremacy" for years, now we are the whipping boys.

Just root for your team, not a conference. Problem solved.
Miami of Ohio's moniker is "The Cradle of Coaches."

Paul Brown
Woody Hayes
Bo Schembechler
Ara Parseghian
John Harbaugh

just to name the famous ones

The schedules are made so far in advance, and these mega-conferences have ruined things.

In a 16 or 18 team conference, its impossible to play everybody. CFB has imploded itself.
Texas stepping up again. Kudos.
Perhaps, but still very very good. Their main weakness, if any, is the rushing game isn't as strong as normal.
PSU probably won't be ranked, but yeah I get what you mean.

On the flip side, a 6-4 Mississippi State team will be ranked in week 11 to make it look like another fellow SEC school "beat another ranked team." Face it folks, the bias is very real on ESPN and the polls.

It's hard going back-to-back, but they could do it.
Yes & no. tOSU vs Texas was the opener, so I wouldn't put too much emphasis on that. Teams evolve during the season. I think both coaches in that opening game played it pretty conservative.
Depending on what you want to believe I suppose.

Places like Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Texas, they will always get blue-chippers. Just not as many as before.

My original stance won't change.
Yep, Saban left because he knew he'd lose an edge.

He forgot ESPN would cover for Bama, like they just did.
By negotiating a huge $$ deal with ESPN?

That's not settling things on the field, it's settling things in dark, smoky rooms.

These participation trophy times are not good. 12 teams in a playoff, it's stupid.
Exactly.

SEC bias is extremely real is case some here are in denial.
They should hire a committee to oversee the committee lol
Bama had the best quality loss of all the 28-7 games this season ??????
If Bama gets blown out they are out of the playoff.

Totally outclassed so far.
There's too many teams in the CFB playoff. Participation trophy stuff.

The BCS was flawed but much better.
