We gonna see a fight.

We might, there was one the last time our teams met.

This game is tough to call. The homer in me hopes we come out prepared, play crisp, and pull away convincingly towards the end of the game. A game that is closer than the score board would seem to indicate kind of game.

The rational part of me knows there is a high likelihood of me being pissed off in the 3rd Quarter of the game at Ed O and Joe 'The Search' Alleva.

Can't wait for this game actually, will be the bellwether for the season obviously.

If LSU starts 0-1, it will prove what we all already know about Ed Orgeron.

I’ve Always thought Richt was a pretty good but not great head coach. Probably a tier below Les Miles.

That said, he is light years ahead of O

Close game. I think the game will be very similar to the notre Dame bowl game. Could go either way.

Since Beckham Landry and Met left that offense has been trash and until proven wrong the offense will still be trash unless LSU has a secret new OC hiding behind their current one.

I am not sold on Miami. The ACC was weak last year. LSU by a couple of scores. Rooting for Miami for the melt.

Then I guess "0" is one of the best college coaches based on the "market and $$$" including buy-out contract dollars?

Actually this game will potentially be between two middle-of-pack teams. The optimism at LSU for the defense is the usual off season tinted glass faith. There is a lack of depth on DL (spare me listing a bunch of no-name players), and there is still exactly one good experienced SEC quality linebacker on the roster, with two more that are serviceable - incoming freshmen linebackers don't count for shite in the SEC. The entire secondary is a work in progress. No, on paper it is not preseason top quality SEC defense despite the mass hysteria and group-think now infecting the Tr.

The LSU offense is pretty much unknown from QB, to OL, to freshmen receivers to RB (who?). Honestly... can you think of one team in the SEC who would absolutely be ecstatic if either of the top contenders for QB at LSU this year transferred to their school?

Overall this is the weakest LSU team on paper that has been fielded in 16 years. The saving grace for this game is that Miami is not much better on paper. If I had to bet, I'd probably take Miami because I THINK their offense will be marginally competent enough to score. But I'll root for LSU.

How do you figure? You lost your secondary, your DE's.

Your lone returner worth a damn is White.

You have no QB, no RB and new coordinator.

Richt is probably going in that arse deep.

Awwwww....did I hit a nerve with you buddy?? First off, you clearly know jack shite about our D and the returning players. Dline and LB core will be nasty and the secondary will do fine as long as they stay healthy. Aranda is throwing in a ton more to the defensive playbook b/c he knows he finally has the players he wants. He is going to confuse the shite out of offenses. And wtf does our RB/QB situation have to do with my comment....all I said is our D will be filthy and it will be.

If our D is as good as I think, it will be LSU in a blowout win.

This we don't have a single clue how LSU will score points this year.

One team was within reach of the playoffs until the final stages of the season, last year.
The other team lost to Troy, at home, last year.

I'll be pulling for LSU, but only fans with thick purple and gold glasses could be confident about this game, at his point on the calendar

It depends on what LSU team shows up. The team that lost to Troy or the team that beat Auburn.

The team that beat Auburn was terrible. We were absolutely destroying LSU and literally could have and probably would have won by 30+ had Gus not decided to sit on the lead and run the ball on 1st down literally every single possession until the final one.

LSU didn't win that game, AU just said here, thanks, we refuse to accept an easy win against a retard today.

I expect the AU LSU game will be a total beat down this year. Sorta like that 41-7 beating that could have been about 70-7 in 2014.
