LOL… he worked Ohio state on his one play, and earned a big first down… yes you haven’t watched much Texas if you think he was rattled… thank your lucky stars Sark absolutely bundled 1st down and goal at the one, you’re welcome

So was Quinn. In fact Ewers was an even bigger recruit. Maybe one of the biggest ever out of the state of Texas. Arch came from a small Louisiana school with good stats. Not great. If his last name wasn’t manning you would not be as thrilled to get him out there.

That's about it, I guess.

The sports media has been enamored with the Manning family for decades now. It is not Archie's fault, but he is going to get the benefit of every doubt due to his name.

The time for him to be thrown into the fire as a true Freshman are long over. Not only will he become the starter with 2 seasons of S&C and learning the offense, this past season he got the experience of starting (and winning) two games and playing the majority of another in place of an injured Quinn.
I know all of you want to believe your highly touted 5* QB recruit is ready to come in and light shite up as a true Freshman, but the reality is Trevor Lawrence was an anomaly in CFB. Just like rookie QB's in the NFL often struggle their first season, jumping from high school to P4 ball is an even bigger leap.
Arch may have his ups and downs next season, but he WILL be ready to take over, and far more ready than any true Freshman, or even most RS Freshmen.

You are talking about this guy? right?

Yeah, this guy...the one that blasted by two aggy defenders enroute to a TD and double digit win at Gomer Pyle Field.

Pretty easy to understand...lot of hype coming out of HS, is back up to another QB who was hyped no end coming out of HS who has "struggled" at times according to UT fans and finally he is the most beloved of all CFB players and that is the back up QB that the coach getting paid millions a year fails to see is the better option than the actual starter.

Other Mannings weren't able to get it done at their schools. Arch now hasn't played much in 2 years but is expected to win them a NC next year.....

We expect a solid showing next year, but a single player can't win anything in team sport. Gotta see how the other 21 players stack up next season.

I know that guy. Highest paid bench warmer in CFB history. Too bad he couldn't score against UGA or OSU. Best backup in CFB.
Here is a pic of him doing what he did best all season. Hence the reason this topic was started in the first place.

He's got the arm talent of his uncles and the speed of his grandpappy. While other toddlers were learning to read words he was learning to read defenses. He's 6' 4", 230 lbs.
Doubt him at your own peril. The dinosaurs looked at Arch Manning the wrong way once. You know what happened to them.

I don't think you understand how big it was for Texas fans to get Quinn in the portal.
