It's crazy Farmer bc LSU has literally won a minimum of 8 games since the year 2000. And now a lot of the pundits/vegas are setting the over/under below that. We have a difficult schedule, for sure, but we have had worse.

This feels a lot like 2011. Not that I think in any way shape or form that we will have the same results, but big time opening game, a lot of questions about offense. a lot of people questioning the coaching. Now the expectations were far higher that season (ranked 4 preseason compared to 24 this year), but a lot of people also don't remember that our "starting" qb was suspended indefinitely like a week before the season started and we were left with Jared "I hold the record for pick sixes" Lee. Now we have no idea what we have at qb and had big questions at running back as our leading returning rusher had 45 total carries the previous year.

SO to answer your question, of course the year matters. Our defense is going to be nasty. We will be in every game. But I have no idea what to expect. And tbh...I LOVE IT!

Many of the educated LSU fans (That have a degree from LSU or elsewhere) are more concerned with the long term stability of the program. We're not that concerned about individual wins and one winning season; the one that's right around the corner.

The uneducated LSU fans (Pump Lump Nut Butter Cheerleader MA's) are shallow and can only see what's right there in front of them. They really don't care about W-L record or SEC West/SEC Championships.

The "Ed's" (Educated) are not interested in the "Meds." (Mediocrity)

While we would never openly pull for LSU to lose a game or have a losing season, it's at the point now where one season of sacrificial defeats would be acceptable if it produces the desired results of removing the main Cancer (Alleva) and then cutting out the remaining disease (Orgeron) so that body can rebuild and become healthy again.

Many of us are completely out of patience and are ready to pull the plug if this thing gets out of hand. (IF it gets out of hand)

Of course all the simple minded cretins (There are many) can't grasp this concept and are only concerned about winning the next game. They don't really care about Championships. They're only worried about procuring their tailgate spot, making sure the beer is cold and having a good party.

Mediocrity reigns supreme. (For themselves, their life, the State of Louisiana, Louisiana State University and the LSU football program)

They just don't care if LSU is 7-5 or 12-0. It's all good. What happens in Tiger Stadium is irrelevant. They jes wanna have sum funs Cher, you know. Les Bon Temps Roulet. Let the good time Roll.

Meanwhile, the rest of us are looking ahead and preparing for the future just in case disaster strikes in 2018. (Prospective new AD's and HC's have already been contacted through the normal informal third party channels to judge their interest so the move can be made when it's time)

Yeah cause only college graduates know da foosball. While I agree there are some narrow minded fans in every base,a degree does not equate football knowledge.Common sense seems to escape many graduates these days.LSU wouldn’t field a D1 team without the support of non graduate fans

How do LSU fans feel about this, provided you could do what we have already done?

Considering you haven't done anything, not sure how to react to this.

Wrong, that's ALL I'm interested in.

I'm sick of people who call themselves football fans wishing for December in August. Before the season even starts, they want it to be over. Bunch of pre-mature ejaculators think it's all about the happy ending. I look forward to being entertained on Saturdays in September, October and November. To me it's about the game, who are they playing, and how do they match up, how the game unfolds, who steps up, who gets playing time, etc...

I'm not looking forward to any championship game at this point, I'm looking forward to the Miami game. I want to watch LSU beat Miami.

I have two degrees from LSU and zero love for Alleva but your entire post left me with a strong desire to do keg stands on your lawn. Followed by donuts with your car.

Eds vs Meds. FFS.

Oh sure this is believable. The same PTB that have allowed things to progress to where we are now are capable of such action? GTFO with this shite.

Are you implying YOU have any say in who the next AD or coach is? Other than being a boobird or rabble rouser on the Rant, that is. Tell us about your connections, broseph.

If you don't understand the context of a post, why make an arse of yourself.

The poster that that post was referencing was given a ban for a post made in poor taste about the A&M 1999 bonfire. It seemed odd to me that an "LSU" fan would be ok with making that joke relative to how bent out of shape most get if they hear any reference to Katrina. At no point did I make a joke or anything about it... Not my style. Doesn't mean that I haven't witnessed it happen on this board in the past.

Does this year matter to LSU?

You have a $75 Mil debt to pay out over the next 10 yrs and you are worried about LSU which you have not beat in 23 yrs...

How bad will the melt be when it goes to 24 yrs and High Dollar Jimbo loses to The Shrimp Boat Captain?
