in fact I'd argue that Kirby had more time to make his mark on his roster,

How? It was year 1 for Kirby. It’s a simple comparison of tenure.

Year 1 is a mulligan, as even saban bama proved. Year 4 isn’t without extenuating circumstances.

What?

He inherited two 2nd ranked classes and a top 5.

You had 4 first rd draft picks off the '19 plus the #1 selected another high 2nd.

Do you really think UGA was more talented in '19 because we had a bunch of freshman and sophomore 4 and 5 stars?

Georgia has been ahead of LSU in talent composite rankings every year that O has been the head coach.

UGA just haven't had that dynamic QB needed to get over the hump. I'm not sure Daniels is that guy but he's going to be really good this season.

Prototype drop back passer Eason
Prototype dual threat RPO Fields
Game manager Fromm

I can see your point. They need to find that special guy. The rare 7* QB.

Only one was allowed to transfer without sitting out. Odd. Why? What do you think about that?

If you really want to convince us that burrow was just a 3 star talent, I am all ears.

You said I was wrong about this statement and I even asked you to clarify:

quote:

You really want to look at classes inherited by each? I know O inherited two top 5 classes (one was ranked 2nd)

Kirby inherited one of the worst senior classes in UGA history (ranked 12th in '13) and had ZERO seniors drafted.

I'll take O for $500 Alex and it isn't close

Such a complete joke Sidewalk and now you wanna copy William Taylor's schtick?

Even more pathetic.

He has had 37 top 150 players that are/have been draft eligible and only 1 was taken in the first round (Isaiah Thomas). Seems like some other coaches may start using this one on the recruiting trail.

He was a 4 star IIRC, not sure what that has to do with anything.

This would be a good list to make which coaches squander the most talent.

Kirby is far and away number one.
Then either Jimbo or Orgeron.

Georgia retains talent and cant win shite with them

Tennesser recruits talent and turns them into shite

Both are abysmal

Florida-> Dan Mullen. Gets rolled by Kirby on an annual basis. Plenty of talent there but still has not won the East.

Tennessee can recruit well but sucks no matter who they get

Really any of those traditional "Big 6" teams could be seen as wasting talent right now because Alabama is the obstacle to their success. Props to LSU for getting around them in '19.

UGA football has been wasting talent since at least 1980. It’s systemic at this point.

Burrow lowered your composite ranking even though he was the best player in the nation. Kind of silly when you think about it.

Are we talking about the CB that had one interception and was constantly beat because he had no clue how to play the ball in the air, but was drafted because of raw talent?
