Georgia fans are always using excuses like these.

"How many Top 150 players can fit in the first round?"

"How many top recruits can stay in Georgia when schools like Alabama, Auburn, and Florida are also recruiting heavily there?"

On and on and on with the excuses. Has it ever occurred to you that player development might be a problem there? Jake Fromm started off hot and heavy in 2017 and regressed from there. By 2019 he was a shadow of his former self. Meanwhile, Saban hasn't had fewer than two players go in the first round since 2009.

Alabama, as we’ll see, secured the most five star recruits from 2007-16 and placed a stunning amount of them as high draft picks.

Where the Crimson Tide really separate themselves, though, is in their absurd ability to place their elite recruits near the top of NFL drafts. Nick Saban’s program put 20 of their 35 five-stars (57.1%) among the top 50 picks, a rate more than double the overall Top 50 rate.

Kirby has recruited at the same level as Dabo and Saban since he's been there.

Not sure why Georgia fans keep trying to compare him to O (whose average class has been 7) and O has actually won a title.

According to 247 Sports, Georgia had the best roster in college football in 2020.

I don’t think anyone is arguing he’s Saban, but we just had 8 players drafted...6 in first two days. Is Bama better, yeah, is it worst in the SEc like the tard who started the thread claims..no.

247 Sports

Alabama’s five-star recruits are picked in the first round 51.5 percent of the time. Five-star recruits that go to any other school, at least on average, get selected 21.2 percent of the time. A five-star prospect who picks Alabama is more than doubly likely to be selected in the first round.

Five-star recruits who step on Alabama’s campus are eventually picked at an 81.9-percent rate. Every other draft-eligible five-star from 2008-17 was picked at a 68.1-percent ratio.

Oh man. It’s like… Alabama is some sort of “dynasty” with 6 national titles in 13 years. Or at least they should be with that kind of output in the draft.

It is a legitimate question.
No excuse.

32 1st round draft picks.
Is a top 150 recruit supposed to be drafted in the first round? Only 20% can feasibly fit in the first round (assuming no low 4 star and 3 star recruits get drafted).

Even common core can understand the numbers behind the OP assertion.

UGA just haven't had that dynamic QB needed to get over the hump. I'm not sure Daniels is that guy but he's going to be really good this season.

Vandergriff and Stockton do fit the mold of playmaking QBs that just about every team had that won it recently.

He is just a bad HC.

Interrupting this inane thread to let everyone know Georgia just saw it’s 9th player drafted in 2021.

Carry on.

Wait.

You said I was wrong about O inheriting a better situation and were clearly proven wrong. Now you wanna move the goal posts?

You wanna fess up, clarify or just take the L and move on?

Lol
Why are you changing the topic?
Fromm improved from 2017 to 2018.
He didnt in 2019. He also didnt have the receivers (draft, injury, or kicked off the team).
Did kyle trask get worse in 2020? I mean... did you see him in the bowl game? /s

UGA just broke the school record for draft picks. One player was drafted after Kirby’s first year. The fact this thread was started by an Auburn fan is just laughable.

I love how the actual player has nothing to do with his success/failure, it's entirely on the coach whether or not the kid is football dumb or lazy or gets injured or supplanted by a better player, etc., etc.,... nope Kirby or Orgeron must bear complete responsibility.
