I live in Mobile and have been a Saints fan my entire life and I sure hate those dirty birds!

For those in this thread unaware, look at a map of Louisiana. Put a pin in Ville Platte and draw lines at a 45 degree angle on either side down to the gulf and that is generally the accepted area considered "Cajun Country".

The entire Saints fanbase is not made up of Cajuns - that is not what I'm saying. But like someone said earlier, New Orleans has cajun influences. I've already said I shouldn't have used the specific word "cajun" as people get quite offended over it.

Not at all.
Wrong.

. Like I said, anyone asking for the most productive back this year to be traded just shows how much they do care about where a saint played college ball.
The major fire around Ingram was due to his abysmal play the last few years and the first 3/4 of this year, and the fact that he was a waste of a first round pick.

There have been a lot asking for ingram to go, even after he ran like a mad man down the stretch.
Far, far less after he became worth a shite.
quote:

Same goes for lsu. There's a thread every week proposing the saints draft an lsu player.
Wait, your evidence of widespread opinion is threads on the SEC Rant and the Tiger Rant? This can't be real life.
quote:

To clarify, I don't think all saints fans feel this way, and I think very few give a shite where a saint played in college...unless of course said saint played at Alabama.

Mother of God. This is one of the most preposterous things I've ever read on this board, which is saying a lot.

Had Ridley gone to New Orleans and had the same career to date as ingram (disappointing injury riddled first two season, mediocre start to the third, very strong finish) then Saints would be singing his praises right now

Exactly

But nooo it's because he played at bama

Had he played well from year 1 you'd not hear any Saints fans complaining

You only have one player to base your opinion on, because it doesn't carry over. And you seem to be discounting his performance for the majority of his career, the fact that he was drafted in the first round after the Saints trded up for him, and that the Saints got rid of a more productive3 back to keep him around while trying to generalize that it all boils down to where he went to school.

The Green Bay Packers are one of the oldest NFL organizations in the league. They've had a following for a long time

The Packers were still at risk of going bankrupt a few years ago before their leadership made some serious changes to the stadium and secured some different income streams for the organization (not just the lame cash grab stock certs). Good leadership can overcome just about any hurdle.

Birmingham could support a team, I just don't trust those know-nothings in office up there not to frick it up.

Birmingham Metro 1.1 M
Nashville Metro 1.8
New Orleans Metro 1.4

It's definitely possible but highly unlikely IMO. College FB runs the state of Alabama

I don't understand why some of them knight so hard for Ingram, but don't defend Roman Harper with the same fervor. Harper was at least a solid player once. Ingram is a bust.

Posters like riseup have their head so far up their arse they can't actually watch Ingram play.

Oh he had one half of one season where he ran well.

Totally worth trading up to take him in the first round

Ingram sucks relatively to what he should have potentially been. One quarter of a season doesn't change that. I think Alabama fans here get the impression that Saints fans hate him for where he went to school because LSU fans use it as an easy way to troll Bama fans on this site alone, but in reality no one gives a shite where he went, they just know he has not produced nearly to his expectations.

He coasted his first few years in the league, he looked out of shape and ran like a pussy. Pretty much everyone but Bama fans saw that.

Just because it's in South Louisiana doesn't mean it's cajun. Some parts of the metro area are cajun, but NOLA isn't.

Thank you. And Lafayette isn't in SELA and some of those cajuns if you are not from that area you are not a cajun. Sorry Houma, I didn't say this bit my in laws from St Landry parisg do.
