Jeff Long would be a fantastic choice, so you can be sure we won't hire him.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer retard. About time some karma came back to him.
Someone should help him break out a calculator and add up the cheddar he's about to lose from slipping out of the first round.

Your insiders don't know shite, then. Seriously.
Malzahn's job wasn't even close to gone this year. His seat might get a tad warm at 8 wins next season. For better or worse he has a lot of job security and it's going to take a lot of mediocrity or outright failure to change that.
A lot of people are just saying what they want to happen, not what is

Not only did they want Kendal/Art they mocked the rest of us as pussies for thinking it wasn't a good idea.
This is bad bad stuff

Five star lineman doesn't want to go to a dumpster tier program, instead opting for one that sends OL to the NFL.
Shocking

Rolling Toomers and hiring Art Briles are two very different things you dunce.
re: It was dumb for Auburn folks to roll Toomers last night after Bama lost
Posted by polydorr on 1/10/17 at 10:41 am
The guy getting uptight about rolling toomers is telling other people to quit being a tool
I can't even. This board is shite.

If you think Spavital would come in and do a better job you have lost your mind.

His gf goes to Baylor.
Guys in college really aren't that loyal to their girlfriends, especially athletes. This is a nonissue.

Our offense is terrible
/positiger, our offense isn't nearly as bad as Auburn message boarders make it out to be (thank God) and it's clear that the only missing piece is a QB that doesn't suck.

Our only hope is for TAMU to back off IMHO
Sumlin is more on the hotseat than Gus, and Auburn is a better team overall, so hopefully he sees that. Briles already sent one guy our way, no reason to think he couldn't send another

Are we off the Kendall Briles train or what

Jangalang that is 100% correct
No it's not
Every year people say the SEC is weak and almost every year since 2006 the conference has the highest bowl W:L rate and highest OOC W:L rate. So what if we play an extra creampuff compared to the B1G, we still spank that arse come bowl season.
re: what are realistic options at HC? seriously

This whole thread is crazy balls.
90% of these names are people who are known quantities and would bring their own failures that would just supplant Gus' failures. At least Gus will (probably) iron some of his shite out over time. Firing a 4 year coach for an FCS/Fedora/whomever middler is just pathetic and a terrible use of resources. Frickin' Gus Malzahn was a great G5 coach, why the hell would you want to repeat the process?!
We need to Jetgate this thing. Put out feelers to known quantities like Herman, Petrino. Shoot for the moon with guys like Chip Kelly and offer them the world - worst they can say is no. If we do not swing for the fences we are spit roasted for another 5 years at least.

We are screwed and I hope Jay Jacobs is calling up Jimmy Rane to shell out for Tom Herman.
You kinda have to root for your alma mater.

Glad you read my r/cfb comment haha.
Hope the man makes enough to feed his family. Other than that, I'd be happy never to see his face again. Thayer next.

First round pick with a good season this year imo
Hmm, that seems a tad optimistic. He'd have to have a fantastic year.
I do think he gets drafted but probably 3-5.
