The Pride of the South will no longer play "Dixie" at Ole Miss sporting events
I'll miss it, but obviously understand the reasoning.

Yes and they're charged with a hate crime because of their stupidity. Also of note they weren't from Mississippi either.

Always found it interesting that the band that played Dixie would then paradoxically spell out USA during the course of a game.

They got rid of the original FDWL in 08 or 09 because of a bunch of morons chanting at the end. The new version sucks and was being phased out.

logic and common sense (rare these days) would tell us to punish the perpetrators.
But that's not enough...we have to change the songs the band plays because that is what it'll take to erase the bad parts of history.
