Overrated

Come on Man!! Chase Young is great. I simply don’t understand it when SEC fans call Ohio State players overrated. I look at NFL rosters, especially my Saints, they are full of Ohio State players.

You can love your team without dissing others.

Btw, Derick Brown is a beast. He will be justly rewarded this Spring in the NFL Draft.

Hell, the kid's a great player, and apparently a fine person.
My father graduated from Auburn, Coach Joel Eaves gave me an "API" (stamped on it) practice ball 60 years ago, and a very close friend of mine was a captain on the Auburn football team in the early 70s.
As far as I'm concerned, it's just family members picking at each other!

He should have been a lock for the Outland Trophy. He definitely got screwed.

Oh well. He will have the last word in a few months when he is a 1st round draft pick and making a pile of cash.

DB lived up to all the hype as a 5* prospect. And that is something that just doesn't normally happen at AU (Byron Cowart anyone?). Those 5* kids come to AU and usually don't amount to shite. DB has been an amazing talent on and off the field and I am proud to have him be a part of the school I love. War Eagle and thank you DB.

I don't fricking get it. LSU played an amazing slate of teams this year and Marlon Davidson and Derrick Brown were the most difficult players they had to match.

Everyone in the SEC agrees. Outside of that, not a care. He will be great in the league

Brown's as good as anyone and better than most. If you do not double team the man he will disrupt your offense. He could not bull rush Deonte Brown so he adapted with a spin move and got after Mac Jones a lot. He caused that long pick six by making Mac throw the ball a shade before he was ready. 'Gotta give Jones credit for standing in there he had Brown in his face for several of his throws.

Young was MIA for a lot of the Michigan game, I've seen as good.

Anyone saying Chase Young is overrated doesn't have a clue. Guy is a monster and just like D Brown consistently dominated games despite double / triple teams.

Derrick Brown was worthy of awards compared to previous year competition. Unfortunately he just had a more competitive year

I'd like to see Young against Bama's tackles, particularly our RT Jedrick Wills. Both will go in Round One and probably early on.

That young man is an animal, he tossed Marlon Davidson around pretty well a time or two, and it would be an interesting matchup.

He is an A+ run stuffer. That helps his DC scheme knowing the interior is covered against the run. It can make his team a lot better.

But Brown isnt known as a wrecking ball against the pass. I am looking forward to seeing how he does in the NFL but curious how the passing nature of the league affects his direct success.

Linemen who play the run get overshadowed. It's the nature of the game.

However, creating havoc on the interior helps in the passing game a lot. Pressure up the middle is more disruptive than pressure on the edge, and it helps edge rushers much more than the edge helps the middle.

He'll be fine. There are much worse things to be than a future top 10 pick with Pro Bowls in your future

Chase Young and then he lost the outland trophy to an Oregon offensive tackle.

Ok, I’ll say it. I bet that D Brown has a better NFL career than Chase Young. He is an absolute monster.

He can penetrate and if the QB can't step up in the pocket because of interior pressure that's worth a lot.

shite happens but Brown is a total beast. He’ll go early in the draft and make an immediate impact on whoever picks him.

The sack he had against LSU was one of the more impressive feats of raw strength I've ever seen. He bull rushed the G 3-4 yards into the backfield and tossed him into Burrow with enough force for Burrow to go down and give DB the sack. It was just incredible.
