If you are a true fan of SEC Basketball how the hell do you not love the current situation?

Dan would know what a punk. He shutdown Jordan in Mike's final college game and has a national championship ring under one of the most difficult coaches ever, Bobby Knight.

So yeah he definitely has the credentials to speak.

He's also a legend in his own mind. Leaves ESPN because he thinks he's a first-teamer and wants the marquee games. Got into trouble with a female swimming coach for the language used and suggestions stated.

He has a long history of not keeping the stupid side of his personality to himself. Last I looked he is still showing up on shows like Out Kick the Coverage. Running his mouth and still not calling marquee basketball games.

Right and from Arkansas' perspective, I want a coach that gets pissed at losing. We had a solid coach for a long time that handled 99% of things with class and that was great but at times it looked like he lacked the hate of losing you need to be great in CBB. Its rare to find a great coach in CBB that doesn't have bad moments.

It is so therapeutic to see a coaching press conference and the coach is clearly as frustrated and upset as the fan base or more so in some cases.

Who is Dan Dakich?

The only color commentator that causes me to mute the TV.

I enjoyed the Nate handshake personally since not many are bigger punks than Sampson and his crew.

Which is exactly the same as us with Oats. We'd had nice guys who had nice teams that had no swag, no identity and very little toughbwss when shite hit the fan. He's changed all of it.

Calm down, bub. It's ok that you only started watching Bama basketball last year

Hey kid, one of us in this conversation saw Goose Givens get his arse whipped in Memorial...not Coleman...Coliseum, and it sure as hell wasn't you.

You thought you were being clever...instead, you just came across like any other twenty-year-old kid. But that's ok...you keep doing you.

None of those things refute my point, he knows the game and called a man what he thinks he is. Whether he calls the top games is irrelevant.

Oats is a good coach and won that game fair but it was kinda weak him standing there with his hand out.

But in all fairness I think dakich is from a different generation where men carried themselves differently. Oats doesn't fit that bill

Not to his face. It's easy to be a shock jock, pretty much the norm these days. It has created a bunch of internet jockeys on social media platforms that like to flex their muscles with every keypad hit.

There have been a few. More often than not though the guys that the average fan thinks of as classy just have the media so far up their asses that their shitty behavior is covered for. Boeheim and Coach K are great examples.

Jay Wright and Tony Bennett are the only ones that come to mind but that might just be recency bias

That's a ridiculous argument.

Because he didn't hop a flight to Tuscaloosa to call him a punk to his face is your concern here?

The craziest part is you yourself don't live your life like that, so how can you expect someone else to hold to a standard you yourself can't live up to?

That's exactly right Einstein. He was hiding. It's easy to get on a social media platform and have a one-way conversation. He doesn't have to engage the other guy in rebuttal.

It's what's coming back that has most people peeing in their pants.

You can't make this stuff up

Hopefully you're actually living your life that way and not being a hypocrite on social media

Are you dealing with my rebuttal? That's my social media. There are few guarantees in life but one is that Dan Dakick has never dialed up Nate Oats and called him a punk.

I’m not much of a Dan Dackich fan, but what I do know, he would probably be really happy to get in Oats face. If you ever saw him play, you know he wouldn’t back down.
